  • Himself was going to be DJing a kids' party, so thoughtfully set an alarm for exactly the same time as I have to wake up during the work and then proceeded to sleep through it. He made a cuppa (just as well, really) once I 'encouraged' him to get up and minced about for four hours.

Once he'd gone, I went in search of food, only to find nowt but all the pots, pans and other items supposedly clean but actually coated in a layer of grease. I suppose the poor love can't handle using hot water to wash up with, going by his preferred bath temperature, and is allergic to changing the water in the bowl when it gets too dirty.

    Anyhow, went upstairs and

    Made the bed.
Cleaned the vacuum brush tool of a ton of crud left in it.
    Vacuumed the bedroom.
    Cleaned the bedroom windowsills.
Cringed at how the sunward side of the curtains has faded to a mid brown compared to the black of the other side.
Sprayed anti moth stuff over the rug and curtains.
    Vacuumed the landing.
Cleaned bath, bog and sink of his stubble and clippings.
    Vacuumed the stairs.
    Vacuumed the living room.
    Vacuumed the kitchen.
Found two other bits of the vacuum cleaner abandoned under the kitchen table.
Cleared packaging and half eaten foodstuffs off the counters.
Placed all his washing up by the sink.

    Sat back down again.

He has now walked in and complained that he can smell the litter tray that lives in the shower room.

Over to you, sunshine. Scrub the floor in there and the kitchen whilst you're at it, won't you?

Obviously, he's now upstairs faffing about with his laptop and drinking a can of something.

  • Sounds like your Dad is doing well Roundtuit, well done on getting back to work.

Didnt sleep well last night, up early to see DS off then went shopping. Shopping with DH and two teenagers meant that there was no chance of really looking at anything. All the shops were full of overpriced tat and 3for2 presents anyway. I will be shopping local and shopping online for presents I think.

Fire lit and a g-and-t on the go now, feeling rather sleepy!
  • Evening all.
Feeling a little more chipper with things here. Not 100% forgiven bf, but we have had a good long chat and straightened a few things out.
He's never been one to talk about his feelings, and his mum is currently going thru chemo, so he's been in a dark place (but of course couldn't talk to me about it).
I'm going to chalk it up to a 'cry for help', and draw a line under it.
He has been warned he will not get another chance.

Not a lot of flying done, but a lot of clearing the air. We're having a 'together' day tomorrow, then I'm back to the flying monday.

    Morning all.
Raphael, I'm pleased with the outcome for you. Men can be such idiots sometimes but can also learn from their mistakes amazingly.

So far today I have WUDUPA, sorted washing on airer (after thinking there was no washing yesterday, DH found enough for 3 loads), watered indoor plants and sorted vases of flowers and swept the hard floors downstairs.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Raphael ^^ Wot Jazee said.

Got 4 loads on line, 3 of which went through overnight so cheap leccy. Includes my bedding, which I much prefer line-dried.

Need to prop second line but the prop is in the shed. Will be back out shortly as I need to clean Bunny Hutch.

It has just taken me 2 hours, but the grass is cut, it was wet and awful to cut, on a good day it takes me 30 mins if that!
Leaves also swept up for now, more arrive, but they came wait until the spring.
    Tip run also done.

Going to have a rest now

  • Shower room floor, sink and toilet done.

Himself appears to be feeling a little guilty about yesterday (he looked quite embarrassed when he said he was tired after work - well, it was a full five hours ), so got up when I did this morning (WHY do I struggle every single flaming day of the work week, but wake up with a PING on Sunday mornings?) and is in the process of doing bins and scooting about for bits before going out to get something I can shove in the SC for a late dinner. And teabags - he let us run out of TEABAGS

He's done half the countertops and I'm just doing the sink (gunk everywhere again), hob and small countertops/table - he'll have the litter tray and whatever lifeform is seething in the SC (why not empty and clean it on the day it's used?) to deal with when he gets back from the shop.

Hope he doesn't think he's going to get to cook in the clean kitchen again. I've done it, I get to use it!

Washing brought in dry enough to iron, so it's now on the maiden waiting properly dry off.

Rabbit hutch restocked with clean sawdust and straw.

Receipt sorting going on apace. Found one, for work, nearly £30 I forgot to claim back

Bit of batch cooking done for lunches.
