LL I have dyed towels and they come out fine. Just make sure you have the correct weight for the amount of dye or they will be patchy.
I am on the Arcadia in July to Norway and Iceland and the kitchen refit is having to wait here too.All that clutter used to be money0 -

I did a similar cruise on Arcadia in July 2012, and it was excellent. We had some great weather tooEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks for the info. The do look good, I think I fancy a small group rather than the ships bigger groups. They say they work round cruise ship shore timings too, so I'll definitely look into these.
Thank you so much.
Very well thanks, been busy with our own plans as we're off to Oz in about 10 days to see family, at the same time going to take in cruises to more exotic parts like PNG, the Cook islands, the Loyalty Islands and Tahiti, bit warmer than here as my daughter informed me today - 41C.

I don't think I have ever dyed towels so I'm not sure if it works.
I ordered some daffs in the shopping today, such a nice, cheap way to brighten up a room.:)0 -

I love daffs. So bright and cheery.
Champagne moment this morning. Quick stroll round the garden and noticing all the bulbs poking through.
Did a test patch on my kitchen ceiling beams last night, using chalk paint. Brilliant coverage in one coat. I only have half a tin left from another project so nipped out this morning and bought another.
The plan is to make the most of the bad weather when it arrives. I figure if I am going to be housebound then I may as well put the time to good use. I'm going to give myself a proper project otherwise I'll just waste time mooching about reading and watching crap on tv.:rotfl:
So I'm going to start the kitchen/diner makeover. Its a huge job and I would love to pay someone but I really can't afford that option. The more I can do myself the better. Starting with the beams and ceilings, then walls and woodwork and then finally kitchen units. That way I Can do it in easy stages. If it takes 6 months then so be it. :rotfl:
Then hopefully it will look ok for a few years and I can postpone the refit.
Right going to tidy up, prep tonight's dinner and then paint a couple of beams.......0 -
I have dyed lots of towels. Always dye a darker colour. Years ago with 3 teenage boys towels started pale blue then royal blue and a few years later navy blue. Had dark brown ones at one time but that was a mistake. Just watch the first time you wash them with anything else as the colour might turn your undies a funny haha colour.0
