    Morning all :D
It's bright n sunny here today. Thanks for all your lovely wishes for Zeus. He's doing really well, n is going for a check up at the vets today. Still haven't got his blood results back, so they won't be getting paid yet .The insurance are refusing to pay out, as they're saying the bleeding was castration related, whereas it's likely he might be haemophiliac, so it could've happened at any time .Lots of discussions ahead I think The main thing is He's recovering though
In other news my new phone has arrived, n i've not got a clue what i'm doing with it
The house is an absolute pigsty, due to me playing nursemaid all week, but you know what, I don't care :rotfl:
LL glad you enjoyed Collette. We're going next week if Zeus is better :D

    Warning rant alert:
As some of you know, Zeus was castrated on Monday, n didn't stop bleeding, so had to stay in the vets overnight, while they sedated him, n tried , then successfully attempted to stop the bleeding.
Throughout this time the Senior vet kept me updated with his progress. On Tues morn she rang n said they were taking bloods to send off, to see why his blood wasn't clotting, n another vet would ring me later that day, but she warned me that she didn't speak good English!!!
Anyway the 2nd junior vet rang me, n neither of us could really understand the other, but I caught that I could collect Zeus at 430, which I did.
He's been home since then, n is doing really well, n today was his 1st post op check.I went in n asked what the blood tests had revealed, n the Greek vet said i'd said I didn't want
blood tests!!I was fuming n asked how could that be the issue , when I need to know what's wrong with him.
To cut a long story short, she took two massive vials of. blood, out of his little leg today, n he was howling in pain. This should've been done while he was sedated on Mon/Tues.
I'm really concerned about going back for the results, n not being able to understand her.
    WWYD? 😣😣😣

CG I'd phone the practice and explain your concerns highlighting what happened and your concerns re the next meeting. I'd then ask for someone else to be present in case they are needed to clarify what's being said.

    <<hugs>> to you and Zeus

Good morning everyone. Brrrrrrr!!! It's getting colder.

Woke up with a squiffy tummy this Mornjng and had to cancel my acupuncture appt. so instead I'm going to indulge in a nice long soak In the bath, face mask and mini pamper session. I am sooooo worth it. :rotfl:

Not sure I would describe it as "champagne moments" but I have a real glow of satisfaction with what I have achieved this week, lots of decluttering and reorganising. The house is looking tons better. I feel a real sense of pride and achievement and i have to say it's a great morale booster.

Decluttering has definitely lifted my spirits. I'm loving the feeling of space and lightness that it brings in its wake. I still have a fair way to go but I'm definitely starting to appreciate the old adage "less is more". Yesterday I tackled the kitchen/dining room, cleaning cupboards, washing down paintwork.

When I bought this house it was like Miss Haversham had lived here, dark and gloomy, dusty and dirty, cobwebs everywhere. Although one of my first jobs was to give everywhere a thorough clean Yesterday I washed down the patio doors properly, attacking nooks and crannies with spray bleach and a toothbrush.

It's been a long job but At long last feel that the spirit of Miss Haversham has finally left the building. It's a great feeling.

Given that today is cancelled and I shall be staying close to home. I'm going to tackle some paperwork sorting and a bit more in the kitchen.

Then next week I think I'm about ready to start painting. :D
  • Have had the invoice for the final payment of my Iceland trip. I really can't decide whether to cancel or not. Part of me thinks I will regret it if I do. Part of me thinks, "come on it's only money, the new kitchen can wait :rotfl:

Having a dozy moment, was thinking you would get LOADS of frozen food if it involves multiple payments and final invoice!
