    Afternoon Potters

Fab news about your new job Hettyhound, exciting times :)

Enjoyed a quiet weekend with DH so I'm feeling more prepared to face the week, which will be quite busy as we are moving premises in work. Plus DD, DS and partners are descending on us next weekend, so there'll be plenty to prepare for that!

Potting away £5.86 today. Have a lovely week Potters :)

It's been a while but money has been tight so haven't really been able to pot much. Only potted £3.67 since I was last here :(
Roll on payday next week, hoping to pot a few pennies before then but won't be much.
:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j

  • 5p roadkill added to the pot. Insignificant amount, but I still gotta kick out of it! :)

Thank you all for the new job congrats! Not many coming from my work colleagues. I’m not actually leaving just moving departments to take on a higher grade job so I expect I will still bump into them. Shopping day tomorrow but also do have some cash to pay out for various other bits and pieces; fingers crossed it won’t be that much:rotfl:

I haven't been posting but have been potting. its been chaos, spending time with friends since losing one unexpectedly.

So sorry to hear about your Husband Mrs Moneypenny. such a sad thing to happen. Be kind to yourself.

You look after yourself to Sue. Glad you are feeling a bit better.

I am going away for a break on thursday, but will be back posting next week. Have a great weekend all.

I am going to pot £4. Been shopping and came in at £21 out of a budget of £25, and that included a small bag of dog food to see her through to payday on the 28th. If I pot 4 then in still have 15 left in the food budget which is unheard of! If I have any food budget money left, which I should have, on the 28th I will pot it. I also have some “my” money left but not so hopeful to stretch that as it’s our half term next week. He is going to a school disco tonight (he’s 5!) so I have said I will pay the £2 entry but he can use his pocket money to buy the tatt (although I didn’t use those words) from the PTA stall. Never too young to learn the value of money!;)

Wish my shopping bill for this week was £21 Hettyhound. The family are descending on us this weekend so major shopping bill to feed them all - my son is known rather fondly as the weapon of mass consumption due to his eating habits! He's like a rake too........lucky thing! :(

No money to pot today yet, just here for the chatter :)

Siju that did make me laugh. I swear some days he eats more than me and he’s 5 but I’m definately not! I tend to have more vegetarian days now than meat to stretch things out and I’ve noticed a massive saving since I swapped to Ald1, yes the advertising is true for once. I get most of my household except washing liquid from home b*rg*ins (18 rolls of decent quality loo roll for £3.99) and I’ve really cut down on what I use cleaning wise. I started to think about what my mum used and how she cooked and based my changes on my childhood memories when mum got weekly housekeeping money. That’s how I’ve tried to change things but a bit at a time. :D
