I've read through the thread and would like to join. I have a money pot sorted and ready to use. I'm saving as much as i can for christmas next year. Every bit of change counts and certainly will add up over the year.

Managed to pot some money from yesterday's trip to the pub. Agreed with OH he will be paying the weekly take away next couple of weeks (he owes me same amount- so makes life easier to do this). It does mean no change for the pot. We're considering going out for a couple of drinks at New Year, drinks are more expensive on that day- we normally go on a day when they are cheaper. I usually budget for 2 drinks each £6.85 x 2 (Will get £15 out of cash machine (assuming still has £5 notes)- hopefully £1.30 for pot) - he buys same for me and any extras he wants.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
