Thank you for the warm welcome Sue, you are very kind
Pay day tomorrow and I've been invited out with friends to the Christmas Market, I am certain that there will be some more silvers going into the pot by the end of the evening!
Hubby has decided to throw all of his coins in whenever he gathers them as he prefers to go cashless for everything...I'm half-way there, there's something comforting about having a few quid in the wallet for 'emergencies'SPC12 #055 - £339.40 | SPC13 #055 - £0 -
I know I haven't yet add my number to my signature. Giving it a couple of weeks before I decide whether to be official. Managed to add a few more coins in this evening. Didn't spend as much as normal down the pub so that went in, spent less than £10 out of budgeted £15. Coins went in- didn't count before it went in, isn't that half the fun- not knowing how much you put in? Left the £5 in my purse along with the already budgeted £25 for takeaway. Thinking if can get order under £22 that would cover another payment to the window cleaner. (already got one set aside) then wouldn't need to think about paying him until the new year. Can then set money aside into pot for next 8 or so weeks.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Ahhhh, go on! Be official! Doesn't matter how much you save. Also have a little look at having a holding pot, which I do eg for your window cleaner. I've also used an envelope before for my road tax. Whatever works for you.
I know how much goes in to my pot, but I'll be damned if I actually know how much is in there - if you get my meaning! No running total in my head - it's just a lovely surprise at the end of the year. Plus, any old odds and sods go in. :j

Hi there,
Can I please join this challenge?

Morning all,
You are right, I'm going to pot the note tonight!! I actually forgot about it, therefore it should go into the tin :rotfl:
I've got a handful of change to pot up after work as well, at least one £2 coin in there! I'll empty the remainder of this weeks grocery budget in as well, there is at least one note in there as well!
My 'save the change' is up over £23 in the first month, I'm still deciding what to do with this. I might pay it off my credit card at the end of each month, but add my total onto my signature here? That way I keep a running total of the savings, and when I open my tins next year, I can just add the two totals together?0 -
Roadkill dilemma! Hubby has left a few coins on the top of our chest of drawers. I know he's been skint towards the end of this month and that's probably all the chain his has. However, It's pay day today so do I

C)drop huge hint that my spc hasn't had any coins in weeks and I'm not really out abc about using money to add anymoreFinally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -

Welcome! New people are always welcome here. Sue-UU, our esteemed leader, will be along soon to give you your own sparkly number. In the meantime, ensure your pot is polished and waiting to be filled and that you read the first post, giving you hints and tips for your savings. Then, sit back with a cuppa and start your potting. :jSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
£15.80 gone in today as it's the last day of the month ( I put any change I haven't used into the pot).
Only 19 days and I'll be flying away for christmas!0 -

I always go for option A! If he's foolish enough to leave it lying around, then my pot will make good use of it.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
