Pot is now at £128. I ended up taking out £5 from my bank in cash. With the view of either potting it or spending it if shopping came to less than that. Shopping came to more but under the £7.82 I had in my bank after the £5 was taken. I swapped the £5 for £3.70 in cash. I had already set aside £3.70 for a planned taxi journey into a side account, as I would normally pay by card. Instead I used the £3.70 in cash. I then overpaid my mortgage by the £3.70. I then found some extras coins which I put in my pot.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

50p potted today as leftover change from shopping. Hoping to have a bit more change to pot on Sunday as have been invited to a surprise party on Saturday, Although drinks will not be expensive with a 6 year old and a designated driver it is being held in a pub. Just got the last of the birthday presents until August and bought an Easter egg for my boy :EasterBun so those pesky little extras won’t be demanding my potting money!
Just tried to work out tax credits and quite frankly I’m none the wiser :huh:SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)0 -
Hi everyone
It's been a while so I hope everyone is ok?
I've been busy with work and lots of gardening adventures so not had chance to come along and check in.
Absolutely loving the lighter evenings, and being able to sit out after work. Seeing everything budding is definitely cheering me up, love to see things growing:D
Anyway I've managed to snaffle £32.58 for the pot, its getting heavy which is great :j:j:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j

A happy Wednesday, Potters, and have a lovely Thursday. I hope you're all ok with the really cold weather back again...snow too!! Still, at this time of year it won't be around for long.
For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart
So, do I take it you're not going back to work anymore, Westie, or....? I hope the hips is getting better, or that it darn soon will be as it seems ages now!
So pleased to hear you in Scotland had a super day on Tuesday, Dolly! It was mostly showers and some sun here but with quite a cold wind.
What an enjoyable Mother's Day you had with your DD & SIL, siju. It's certainly very early days since your Mum's passing so it's only natural you miss her. However, just maybe that £1 was all down to her in an attempt to bring an extra smile to your face!!!
Excellent saving yet again, Loz!! :j Have a really lovely week with plenty of r and r....and no spends!!
You did pretty well then, datlex, very well done!! Unless it was evening or night time I'd detest shelving out money on taxis, so well done you for saving it instead!!!
Well done for getting everything sorted, Hettyhound, have a wonderful time on Sunday!
If you're still unable to sort out the tax credits, and no one here is able to help, why not call into or ring Citizens Advice Bureau, they should be able to help you. Good luck!
Ah a very like-minded person as myself, weenapoops!Hubby & I love it when we can get out in the garden and tend to all the shrubs, plants etc as well as see all the spring flowers still in bloom. Gardening is wonderful therapy for us all, a real joy!
Great potting too incidentally!!! :jHave a super Thursday, folks, don't forget to feed your pots!!!
Sue

Put £14 in £2s into the pot this week. It's now officially my 'new car fund' as the payout from my car being written off
isn't enough to just go and buy another car (like for like, my eye) so it's going to pay off the loan I had for it and in doing so save me a ton of interest I didn't realise I'd be paying in the longer run, while I scrimp and save for something new. For the time being, my garage has given me an old car to run around in - taxed and insured by me (also to make sure I didn't lose my insurance) - till at least the end of May when its MOT is due.
