Sue UU, there’s been a misunderstanding- the vending machine lost and the SPC won my previous fistful of coins!

Sorry to hear your Mim had Alzheimer’ - that’s so hard for everyone.

Adding £1.21 to the pot. “See a penny, pick it up, then all day you’ll have good luck!”

Withdrew another survey chunk £14.06 will hit my sealed pack bank account which will top it up to £133.69. The cash tin still sealed but haven't added much at all. There's no such thing as 'spare' cash when your sick pay has stopped and you're not reviewing any benefits yet:eek:

A happy Monday, SPCers, though I hope it's a relaxing evening by now. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, I hope you had a lovely day today too, last of that glorious weather for a while until the Jet Stream send us something warmer.
For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart

I wonder whatever makes your Mum wish she'd skipped the childhood years and gone straight to the grandkiddie times with Jake & Lily, jakes-mum!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
I'd love to have the chance to go back over childhood years with our kiddies, though at their ages now, I don't think they'd appreciate it!!! :rotfl:
No, you'd never mentioned your DH was from Wales, though I'm sure you've said your kiddies have gone there to holiday with them, is that right?!
Excellent work with the £2ers!! :D

Brilliant potting, Loz, making a terrific total...so far!! :j

I'd like to have seen that dance on entering your cash, Whatshername!! ;) A brilliant total so far!!!!

    Yay, fantastic work, Lost!!!! :j

Good potting, datlex!! As to should you do this that or tother, only you can answer those questions, just be sure you don't regret it once it's done and too late!! :(

Good potting for you too, Hettyhound!!! :dance:A great way to tackle a forgotten Mother's Day! You could always suggest he does a few jobs to make up for it, that's what happened a good few years ago.

It's good to hear you're still with us, Llynsey!! It's so lovely when the pot's nice and weighty!! :D

Good to hear from you too, Dreamworlded, and well done with saving cash!! :D

Aha I see, Saving Glut, I really thought it was the opposite, but so pleased it wasn't!! :D

My dear Mum always used the "See a penny, pick it up......" the same as no doubt yours did, there were more around then too!

Thanks very much re my Mum, I quite agree, it's an awful thing to suffer from, not just for the sufferers either. It's rotten for the loved ones. Towards the end, my Mum honestly thought my DH was her Son instead of me being her Daughter!!! Very strange how it tricks the mind, hurtful too.

    Very well done, Vicky!! :j

Keep on potting, Homegrown!! You might have been popping in dribs and drabs recently but it sounds as though you're picking up pace again, good on you!! :D

So long as you're doing your best, Westie, that's all any of us could hope for! :D Are you still not better?

Brilliant work, Choccygirl, you're doing really well, more than you'd originally thought!!!!

A £15 haul now in the pot after shopping!!! Hubby said he didn't think we could afford so much, however, I assured him we could!! ;)
Have a lovely Tuesday, folks, don't forget to feed your pots!!! ;)

    Sue

Sounds like you are in my boat - now on nil pay for sick but not able to claim any benefits till I'm officially unemployed and even then Universal Credit takes an age and stops your other benefits - hey ho, keep heads up shall we

  • Morning all,

    Hope you are well.

It is a gorgeous sunny day in Glasgow, still cold though but doesn't the sunshine just make you feel better!

I added some money to my pot over the weekend, not sure how much but it all adds up so better in the pot that in my pocket.

    Hello Potters

I had a lovely afternoon tea with my DD and SIL on Sunday, it was much appreciated to be in such lovely company as I must say I did miss my dear old mother :( Hey ho, life carries on....... When we came home, though, I found a one pound coin sitting happily on the sofa. Don't know where it came from, perhaps it's pennies from heaven. Anyway, it was quickly snaffled and safely potted. Have a lovely week :)

I’ve added £18 to my pot so am now upto £100.

I’m off work this week so am going to try and relax as much as possible while also not spending too much money.
