Not done much potting of late. Still got over £110 in it. On a separate note, I had a post removed from a different thread. Apparently it is totally acceptable for a person to act in a morally reprehensible way...Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Happy belated birthday Sue-UU. I have also been celebrating as I reached half a century last Monday. Had a fabulous weekend with the family at a well known holiday resort in Longleat. Lots of laughter and love in the air and my very DH surprised me with a new engagement ring as my original one is very fragile now and I have had to have it repaired several times. He reduced me to tears and that never happens!

I am going to allocate myself a weekly cash allowance from April so will hopefully be better at the potting from then.
Hope you are all well.

Evening potterssssssssssss
Well last sunday was DH and My 12th wedding anniversary, we did absolutely nowt, bought nowt and didn't even go out to dinner :rotfl: we're so darned romantic! :rotfl: TBH we're not really into the whole valentines day, anniversary type stuff, we're boring like that!
This sunday is of course mothers day, so i've got the trusty cards out again for the kids to write this years message for me(I decided a few years ago I was fed up of them wasting rediculous amounts of money on cards and that I wanted the same card to be written in each year by them with the year underneath so when im old and wrinkly and in my dodgy care home they plonk me in I can see how they've changed over the years and remember what they were like when they wrote each message
Hopefully one day I might also get some scribbles from a new generation too
. . . Just not too soon! )
I have a lovely £2 to pot in my purse, pretty sure i've potted a few more over the last week or so but I can't really rememberSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I will be saving money this Mother's Day. No card, no present. My mother doesn't want a relationship, long story but basically due to my not wanting to take sides in a row, and has returned gifts in past (and I don't mean to shop with a receipt because she didn't like them). I don't have kids either so for me it is just a normal day. I will probably avoid Facebook with the sentimental mush that is put on.
