Haven't potted for a while, my resolution to do a purse clear-out every week soon died on its feet - but on the plus-side it means I haven't been spending as much cash.
Potted £6.50 from my purse this week, plus some loose change into the bottle.
Unfortunately had my first-ever car accident on Wednesday - fortunately not my fault, but the annoyance of that (I was SO angry - always knew that's how I would react if it ever happened), coupled with sorting out insurance, courtesy car, etc., and subsequent adrenaline crash has left me feeling rough all weekend. I'm only just starting to feel a bit human again after a an hour or so in the garden. Car is a bit bent and off to be repaired tomorrow.
Have a good week all :beer:SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Continuing to drip-feed my pot with change found; weekend I found 21p at home. As I’m not completely ruthless when it comes to unattended cash at home, I did not scoop up the £10 note left on the cupboard (at least for now!).IO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.Sealed Pot Challenge 12: #078: £150.36

Morning pottersssssssssssssssssss
Glad you are OK Mrs Shazbat, so annoying when someone hits your car but as long as you are OK, thats what matters most.
Ahh Sue, I don't think your poor eyes could cope with the words that printed on this fabric! I'd sew it with my eyes closed if I could! :rotfl:
Just had a letter from the council tax telling me I have £355 accrued in my account so I shall be asking for that back! That will be getting put straight in the holiday fund as I was not expecting that at all!
DH gave me a £2 coin for my tin after his weekly pub visit . . he also had £1.50 but wouldn't let me have it! gave it to the youngest instead! pfft, everyone knows mummy doesn't like to share! :rotfl: But just like her mother, it went straight in her money box :rotfl:

My son has been told to spend 20 hours a week job searching even though he is still signed off.
Because he had a small amount of his wages owing which was paid 3 days into his Universal Credit assessment period, it was taken into account, and a month later (less 3 days) he was only given just over £100 to last him for the next month, still two weeks to go. And for the same reason, he couldn't get any council tax reduction.
Although I've paid his mortgage and given him some extra money, he says there is no way he can manage long term and doesn't want me to have to support him long term. So he's been job searching with a vengeance and is going to start another agency job on Monday. I'm worried for him, but it's what he wants to do.
I don't expect his doctor will be happy either, but to be honest, the stress of it all on top of his medical conditions is too much for him.
My son managed a week and one day on his new job, then this morning he got up to go to work and his back went. He phoned up to advise the company who told him to ring back when he was better - then 10 minutes later the agency rang to say he was no longer wanted.
So back onto Universal Credit and his 9 months before getting any help with his mortgage will be reset!

Good heavens above, Frogletina, how rotten of them! However, maybe now he can have the time he needs to recuperate sufficiently before he gets the job that's right for him. Good luck to you both.

Good evening everyone! And I'm back (again!). Yesterday I celebrated my "21st with 19 years of experience" birthday.... Having tried to convince my class that I was 21, a couple were genuinely surprised that I was celebrating my 40th!!! Bless them.
Anyway, I have managed to pot a few silver coins and a £1 or two. (but not a £2 coin) Hopefully some more heading my way at some point in the near future!
