Hi again Potters! So sorry I'm so late, but I've had a rotten week with sickness and diarrhoea which also brought on clusters of seizures... which always bring awful diarrhoea (all to do with kick-starting my under active thyroid).
Slowly I'm recovering but I feel so terribly weak.
For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart
Hi Kerfuffle, and well done with what you've potted!! Have a lovely weekend.
You're slipping, Dragon Lily?! Ah, not to worry, at least you're picking up from here on, so good in you with what you've potted!!!
Really well saved, 32b3!!A lovely sum to stash away!!!
Hettyhound wrote: »I have come to beg forgiveness from all the £2ers. I am sorry but I've just swapped 2 x £2 coins for 4 x £1 coins; please will you forgive me? I have been forced into it by the Tooth Fairy... We have more wobbly teeth and unless the tooth rate was going up to £2 per tooth (!) a tooth fairy holding pot is required pretty sharpish.
Hydragea bought and potted up. Bought some compost as well so came in at £8.75; remaining £1.25 potted:D
OH NO hettyhound, how could you swap £2ers for £1s?!!! :eek:That's a week on the naughty step for you!!Couldn't you have left an IOU for tooth fairy, bet you wouldn't be the first. On a good note.....
...brilliant work with the hydrangea!! I can almost see it blooming, it certainly will be come the summer!! I'm so thrilled for you!! Hubby & I bought some Daffodils yesterday for me as it's my Birthday on Tuesday, so I really wanted the small orange-trumpeted ones. We bought 4 pots with 5 in and they look so beautiful!!!Frogletina wrote: »Hi Sue-UU. Thank you for your kind words which I've only just seen.
I wish he didn't have to look for another job just yet and manages to improve his health enough to find something that isn't too taxing. I'm just glad that I can support him for now.

Hi Frogletina, you're most welcome. I understand exactly what you mean. So is your dear Son not able to get fully recover before he starts working again?! After all, it's far more beneficial to all that he turns up healthy for any new job. I'm just so pleased he has you to look after him. Take care both of you!
Waahaaay Vicky!!!!! That's one less £2 for jakes-mum!!! Well done with the rest too! It sounds as though you're getting so very excited for what your Total could be. Good luck to you for it being a fantastic one!!

So sorry to hear you've not been well, but glad you're on the way to recovery. Do take it easy.
My son has been told to spend 20 hours a week job searching even though he is still signed off.
Because he had a small amount of his wages owing which was paid 3 days into his Universal Credit assessment period, it was taken into account, and a month later (less 3 days) he was only given just over £100 to last him for the next month, still two weeks to go. And for the same reason, he couldn't get any council tax reduction.
Although I've paid his mortgage and given him some extra money, he says there is no way he can manage long term and doesn't want me to have to support him long term. So he's been job searching with a vengeance and is going to start another agency job on Monday. I'm worried for him, but it's what he wants to do.
I don't expect his doctor will be happy either, but to be honest, the stress of it all on top of his medical conditions is too much for him.

Afternoon Potterssssssssssssssss, Been MIA as health just took a serious nose dive, I can honestly say I have not felt this awful in quite a few years. Still want to curl up into a ball but gotta fight the fight as they say.
All these £2 coins just being stolen from me! bad potters! BUT I have had a few go in my pot over the last couple of weeks AND DH gave me 2 more in the car today to make me feel better
Ahh that blasted tooth fairy! glad she doesn't visit anymore! DH prised a £2 coin out of my hands for both kids for their first tooth, after that it was a quid! I refused to give up anymore! Now DD is sooooo very grown up and old to be believing in such nonsenseI was happy to inform her that the tooth fairy no longer has to pay :rotfl: ahh the joys of being 11.
In good news, ESA have finally sorted out my money! wooo! so have paid a bit off our debts with the back pay, paid some money off our holiday and put some away for emergency moneyThey have paid the back pay in 2 payments, the second of which is due next week so DH has said to take some out and pop it in the pot as if we hadn't had all this trouble I would be well into my second £2 coin tin by now :rotfl: (plus he really wants that bumper christmas pot, he's almost as addicted to pot opening day as I am!)
Well i'm going to go curl up in a ball of misery again and will try and pop back in the week.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
I’ve added a few spare coins to my pot this afternoon but as it was 1,2,5ps I didn’t count it. I’ve decided that I’m only going to keep count of the 50p,£1,£2 and any notes that I put in as that way it’ll feel like extra money when I count it up in October.
I went and got my euros today for my holiday in July so my savings have depleted by £150 but I thought it was better to get them now just incase the exchange rate tanks. It does also mean that I can now put any spare cash towards my credit card/savings account as I now won’t need to set aside holiday spends each month.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750 -
Haven't posted for a while but about £15 potted since I last posted in an array of different coins. Jar is getting really full now, I'm so excited to get it open.
