Oh dear, I'm late again
Too much to do and not enough hours in the day.
Welcome to the new people :hello:0 -
Well done v1ckyt!!
Had a last minute change of plan for last night's dinner, another guest had the gammon steak and it didn't look too great, so I had chicken fajita's.
The syns are mounting up this week. Staying in a "cheap" hotel with a limited but expensive menu really doesn't give a lot of scope to stay on plan, especially with a meal allowance (included in the room rate) of only £20 when the average main course is £16. This week might not go as well as I'd hoped.
Today:
B - Bacon, mushroom and poached egg on 2 slice w/meal toast (HEB + 6 syns as bread is not from small loaf)
L - Pasta Bolognese again...... last portion thankfully - don't think I'll ever eat it again lol!!!
D - TBC
Snack - HiFi or Alpen Light bar - 3 syns
There's a small kitchen in the site compound where I'm working, so I'm going to have an attempt at making chicken jalfrezi similar to the turkey version in the Take5 book for the next 2 day's lunches.
Starting to think I should have just made my own dinners all week too.....You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

It's hard work to stay on plan when you're not in control of the cooking fatrab. You're dong your best.:TDay 2 of foodbank hampers.
I have eaten my body weight in crap.
I'm guessing you're being force fed biscuits and sweeties wile you work.
People mean well but it's really not good.:(
We got a flyer through the door for a new Indian take away that's opened locally. We have every known take away within yards because we live close to the university. This flyer is saying they can offer a healthy option with one cal spray if you ask:). When I'm passing I'm going to ask about that. It might make a change from the Aldi curry I have instead of a take away.
I had hoped for a syn free day today but DH made porage and I want to do our favourite stir fry sauce tonight. That's 5 syns just for a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of syrup. Sugar is devilish!
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, banana
L: veggie omelette with ham and pickles
chicken stir fry with noodles
Syns: honey and syrup 5:(0 -
Well I've got no idea what happened to my post! It seems to have disappeared so I'll try again now!
Well done v1ckyt on being our SOTW.
As Maman said Fatrab you've been trying to make good choices. Good luck with a bit of damage limitation once you're out of the hotel and back home and hopefully not too much damage at your next WI.
I wouldn't worry too much about 5 Syns Maman in the scheme of things it's not that many - at least no more syns than the "new" plan from January when we'll be able to have 2 HEAs instead of 1. Still can't see how that's going to work myself but will give it a go on some days. Don't think I'd need 2 every day as I only really have cheese when I decide on cheese on toast for lunch or extra milk to make a rice pudding. I certainly can't see me using both every day but we'll see.
Today's plan:
B - marmite on toast (got up late so no time for the scrambled eggs & spinach on toast)
L - chicken, prawns, boiled potatoes, pickles, coleslaw (0.5 for mayo)
D - SW pork & beef meatballs in HM tomato sauce with wholewheat spaghetti
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; spread 2

Morning All,
Just a quick one, can I register a holiday this week please? Didn't go to the group as having a cold and just couldn't face the scales as I have been eating all sorts to make myself feel better...0
