Hello, may I join you please? I'm starting SW tomorrow, I've been finding excuses for weeks but I'm never going to do it on my own so will bite the bullet.
Realistically I need to lose 5 stone, but I'm going to start with a target of 3 and see how I get on.

Last night in the hotel the best option I could find was the roast pork with veg and boiled potatoes, and I had a prawn cocktail to start with the sauce separate (but I did have a wee dip into it!)
Everything else on the menu is going to have a syn value, so I'm just going to have to be very selective.
Today:
B - Porridge, Blueberries (HEB)
L - SW pasta Bolognese
D - Gammon Steak with veg, boiled pots and an egg (hopefully they'll poach it for me!)
Snack - HiFi bar - 3 syns
Haven't had any HEA options for 3 days now, need to consider a way of getting this into my meals somewhere. Suggestions welcome!!You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

fatrab Is the porridge not made with milk? If not, perhaps you could make it with milk to have at least some of your HEA. If it's at the hotel I would have thought it would be made with at least half & half milk/water although probably mainly milk.
Alternatively could you buy some Ryvita crackers and have some cheese on it for your desert (even if you have to have it in your room:D).
Ended yesterday on 8.5 Syns so well within the syns I had left.
Today's plan:
B - baked oats, apple, satsuma, grapes, quark, skinny syrup
L - LO crustless quiche, HM coleslaw (0.5 for LTL mayo); cherry tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce dressed with balsamic vinegar
D - SW quarter pounder, SW chips, onions, mushrooms, coleslaw (0.5)
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - LTL mayo 1; not sure what else but perhaps a Hifi fruit and nut bar for 3; something (non diet) fizzy 2.5?

Good point Denise, I forgot to ask what the porridge is made with!
I'm having poached egg, bacon and mushroom tomorrow but will have porridge again on Thurs so will ask then.
ThanksYou can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Good luck with eating in a hotel and losing fatrab!:D
Thanks for the good wishes Stoke. How are you doing?:)
My first group used to change venues just for the Christmas time. There was a playgroup nearby that was closed for the holiday so it was available in the mornings.
I'm going to have to go in early January as it'll be time for my next WI. I'm starting to feel a bit fatter now so I'm sure it'll be a long haul to get back to target. I'm reigned to paying for many weeks, months even.:(
:xmastree:Gin and Jingle bells tonight so although I've been on plan all day there will be drinks and nibbles later. Out to lunch again tomorrow then I'm really hoping to undo some damage with a few days on plan.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, bacon, fried eggs, beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO veg, ham and beetrootJP with veggie chilli and cottage cheese
Syns: ??

Thanks Beanie.
Sorry to hear about your halogen going kaput. Do you use Freecycle? Could you look on your local Freecycle or facebay selling page to see if anyone has one they want to get rid of. Lots of people want to get rid of kitchen stuff on them.

 Good to see you Annie. You'll like it on here.:)I'm good. Just taking things slowly at the moment. I'm looking forward to Christmas now.... not for the bad food, but just a few weeks to get my head back in the game properly
How are you?
I'm just coming out of a couple of weeks of seemingly endless pre Christmas events. I was out for lunch today and now have a break until at least Monday.
Today's lunch was really lovely. It had some syns because I finished with a cheeseboard but it was worth all the syns. I probably won't eat again today as I've had three courses but if I snack on anything it'll be SW friendly. Properly back on plan tomorrow.:)
Am I right in thinking you have a pie making machine bubbs? or did I imagine it?:think:0
