    Morning!

Well if the scales at the medical centre were anything to go by I'm a STS this week. Scales at home show -1 this morning (no idea why!) so will see how it goes on Saturday at group.

Beanie, I'm also struggling with my choices at the moment. I'm going back to keeping a food diary this week, would that maybe help you too?

It's going to take a lot of commitment if I'm going to hit my Xmas target but I'm not giving up hope. But with 3 weeks left and 11lbs still to lose, and I've got 2 nights out, I think damage limitation mode has been activated!

I'm still choked with the cold, have no motivation to eat healthily and stupidly went for a few pints yesterday, I'm just not doing myself any favours.

    Todays meals:
    B - Pastrami sandwich on w/meal (HEB)
L - SW Lasagne (HEA + 3 syns for extra cheddar on top)
D - Mince and potatoes with veg
    Snack - Lemsip!!

How many syns are in Lemsip? Hopefully not many as I may overdose on them today! It's just the normal cold & flu lemon variety.

    Thanks :)
Rab, don't be so hard on yourself with being ill as well it is not easy

Hello everyone. I hope you don't mind me posting, it is just to say you have inspired me to lose weight and I have picked up some great meal ideas from you whilst reading through here. THANKS!
    Hello and welcome :D

Pleased you got losses greentiger, Oxford Girl and v1cky.:T

I may have missed something here gts but what difference would it make to syns if you had rice instead of a JP with your curry? I'm assuming it was just home made rice?

You'll be OK with your Lemsip fatrab. Just half a syn a sachet. Much lower syn than beer!:D

I'm not exactly sorry to see Sparky go greentiger. He was OK and he did his best but who knows what the new man will be like? Even if we'd had Pep or Klopp as managers they wouldn't have coped with selling almost a team full of the best players and the despondency that leaves behind amongst the others.:(

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, strawberries and raspberries
    L: ham, LO veg, beetroot
D: cottage pie with swede & carrot topping, cauli, cabbage, broad beans
    Syns: syrup 2.5

Was this an unintentional SP day Maman? Definitely no carbs that I can see (unless you have something in the cottage pie)!

Porridge is HEB so doesn't count as "carbs" that you can't have!

  • Maman - I guess nothing (it's the microwaveable stuff as there's just me) but I guess it's psychological though I feel less bloated with a jacket potato.

Anyway the last 24 hrs with gts will cheer you .....

1 - took mum to the hospital yesterday & drove in a car hubby bought last year .....don't really like it & prefer to drive my old banger. Anyway got back in the car to come home, turn the ignition, put the lights on & then the hazards started flashing. Cue me panicking as I can't turn them off so after a couple of minutes I decide that I'm going to have to drive home with them flashing. Cue one frustrated driver being followed by drivers who don't know what's going on. Mum by now is giving me the old 'don't you know how to turn the lights off' routine so I decide I'm going to have to phone the car rescue people. Five minutes into the call (already having told them the problem!) the lights stop .....mum founded the button which for future reference is by the hand brake/seat belt holder.

    2. Been selling a lot of stuff on eBay and I wrap them in a plastic bag/brown paper. Run out of brown paper & Tesco didn't have any & im late in sending a parcel. I saw an advert on freecycle for brown paper (advertised as suitable for packaging) this morning so I arranged to pick it up this afternoon. When I got there, I was handed 2 huge boxes full of s crumpled up brown paper which no way could be reused. So I basically am transporting this woman's rubbish to the tip for her!
