Sending you good thoughts at this difficult time tweets and thinking of you this morning too bubbs.:A

:T well done on your loss v1cky.

Rather you than me with all that childcare greentiger. Perhaps you'll be so busy that the weight will fall off you!:D

LMCD, I use this thread as a way of documenting what I eat. The only time I use a diary as well (prefer a notebook to the SW proforma) is when I'm having to be really strict with myself. Just do whatever suits you, it's good that the SW recipes are going down well (literally!:D).

Your meal plan sounds like a work of art denise but I suppose when it's done you can just forget it for a month. I'm happy with weekly plans and I mainly just buy in ingredients for lunch and breakfast and just plan the dinners in more detail. The mse:money: in me always makes me plan a way of using up anything fresh first before starting on the cupboards and freezer. I find it saves me a lot of time in the long run and definitely money as we have almost zero food waste.

Meal out was good last night. I stuck to my fishy things (scallops followed by cod on white bean cassoulet, no pudding) so fairly low syn food and didn't have a huge amount of wine either. Back on the wagon today and should be until Friday when we eat out again.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Weetabix with HEA milk, pear and banana
L: ham with LO veg and pickles (same as yesterday but I love it).
D: veggie chilli with rice and cottage cheese
    Syns: none.

Denise, yes, banking syns for meal/drinkypoos on Friday and still aiming for a 4lbs loss. A bit optimistic I think but will try my best to stay semi-sensible.
You can have results or excuses, but not both.

Still got the meal plan to do for December! Haven't had time to look at it yet today but will get back to it later on. Have to say that although I plan for the month I only buy the food weekly as things have a habit of getting in the way and the plan has to change!!! I think there has been far more meals being shifted about this month than there has been for a long time. The only definitely thing for next month is that I am at my DD1s for Christmas dinner so don't need to plan anything other than breakfast that day - will probably have scrambled eggs & smoked salmon so plenty of protein as no idea what time we'll be eating - my DD isn't a particularly organised person and doesn't like getting up in the morning!

    Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water, chopped apple on top
L - carrot & lentil soup - have just blended it and there is definitely enough for another lunch so will probably freeze that and pop it on next month's plan!
D - not sure yet but have got some mince out so will be either spaghetti Bol or shepherd's pie. Will wait until DH is home from his pre diabetic course to see which he'd rather have. Will be packed with veggies no matter which we have!

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - no idea but no doubt I'll find something to have later, LOL! I really need to have some as been very low on syns so far this week.

Glad you enjoyed your meal out Maman, sounds like the sort of thing I'd choose too.

Hey Maman, the consultant asks for the diarys and marks them up? lol I will go with it just now but I think going forward a diary is good to keep for home sakes for meal ideas etc.. but still early days for me. 4th WI for me tomorrow.

LMCD - the consultant only needs to see the diaries for the first 4 weeks so if it's your 4th WI you don't really need to give them back to your consultant after this. The only time going forward is perhaps if you're struggling. I still do an online diary but that's mainly to keep track of my syns!

    Evening all

Hope everything went okay at the hospital today Bubbs

Well done to the losers, and thanks for the chart Chris

Saturday went a little of plan for me, due to 2 meals out. I had planned for one, and within my syns, but then the second one took me over.

Sunday I was back on plan again, although to the top end of my syns

Yesterday was a bit of a challenge. Breakfast started well with a mushroom omelette, but then ended up having to take daughter to A&E. That is normally difficult, as the only food available is really bad, and we were there over lunch time, but I resisting having anything.
Then I had to go do a weekly shop, whilst hungry before I could cook dinner.
I am proud to say I nailed it. Bought myself some cooked salad and HB eggs to see me through cooking dinner.
A day that could have been a disaster I kept 100% on plan.

Today has been okay too. Omelette for breakfast, left overs for lunch, then I'm having noodles for dinner.

Weigh in tonight, and hoping that Saturday's off plan hasn't had too much of a negative effect.

Kathryha I think you've done well considering all the problems that have happened. It's always difficult if you have to be at hospital over the lunch period, although if I only have to go to the minor injury unit it's not too as there's a staff restaurant that we can use as well and can usually get a jacket potato & beans - but of course last time I had to be there no jackets left - typically! Hope your daughter is OK now.

Hope WI goes OK tonight. Good luck.

You've done the best you can under the circumstances so don't beat yourself up.

    Thanks Denise

Unfortunately the hospital canteen is quite a distance from A&E, so the only choice is Costa or the hospital shop with sandwiches, sweets and crisps.

Daughter likes her breakfast at the hospital when she has early appointments. She loves hospital sausages. I have bacon, scrambled egg, beans and mushrooms.

Daughter just has another injury. Problem is she has injured her thumb joint. Not good when she can't walk without crutches.
