Slimming for Santa - Slimming World support thread 2018

Afternoon everyone.
My gain from last week has vanished again without effort so I think it must have been related to being poorly (hope you soon feel better Bubbs!) so back a bit under target, though another 1lb wouldn't go amiss as insurance for Christmas.
Annie I went to SW for 3 months at the start of last year and then carried on by myself, with the support of this brilliant group. I got to target in March of this year, losing 3 and 1/2 stone in total. There are lots of online resources for those going it alone - I keep threatening to write a post about the ones I've found helpful - New Years resolution there!
Having had 3 Christmas 'do's' planned I've missed them all, latest today as the weather forecast locally suggested we might not get home! Hey ho, all good for maintaining I suppose.
I'm on a mission to empty the freezer this week to make room for Christmas goodies so there might be some rather odd meals, but I'll do my best. It's sometimes surprising what you can make from nothing. We've just had HM celery soup for lunch (should have been a 3 course Christmas lunch) - very much a comfort food sort of day here.
Wrap up warm and have a good weekend, all.
Thanks and hope you are better,well done on your loss:T:T now that's what hubby has asked for celery soup, i have found a recipe can you share yours pleaseSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -

Glad you got a loss tie :T
So many places are a disappointment at Christmas Denise . Not impressed with your tapas meal. We're going to London on Thursday to celebrate DD1's birthday. Hope we can find something decent to eat. We generally stay at home and get a take away. Much safer.
It's been a really miserable day here so I've tried to be constructive. I've done most of the decorations and just have the tree left to do. I've made a big pot of pilau rice, some for tonight and some for the freezer.
I've not seen any mixed pickle but will look out for it.
Today's EE menu :
B: NAS grapefruit, kippers, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: Veggie omelette, ham, picklesAldi lamb rogan josh, SW chips, pilau
Syns : 1.5 kippers, 1.5 curry, weekend wine0 -
Had a look on mysupermarket, Asda looks hopeful for mixed pickle.
Why doesn't anyone do jars of pickled cauliflower?:think:0 -
Maman Have you thought of doing some yourself. Pickling is really easy. It's definitely quicker and easier than jam or marmalade!
Sarsons website has loads of easy recipes. Here's one for pickled cauliflower
https://www.sarsons.co.uk/recipes/pickled-cauliflower
May even have a go myself next year after my holiday if I can get a decent sized cauliflower for a reasonable price. I pick up big containers of vinegar from the local farm shop quite cheaply.
Tonight potee was really nice. I added extra veg (as we all seem to do with most recipes, LOL!) and have ended up with a large portion in the freezer which will do 2 days meals next year. Also a reasonable sized tub of stock which can be used for several loads of soup to freeze, again for next year.
I've wizzed up some of the beans and veg to make a soup for lunch tomorrow. So lot's of meals for about £7 or £8, well pleased with that and very :money:.
There's also some swede and cabbage left to have with our roast pork dinner tomorrow which is included in the above amount.

Evening all & hope everyone is well.
Well the long weekend came & went - was very cold (-7 !) - but was enjoyable.
Disappointed at a +2.5 - even hubby was gobsmacked since we did so much walking whilst we were away & didn't eat or drink that much....but hey ho.
Went over to in-laws tonight & whilst I've probably gone over my syn limit haven't totally blown it.
Definitely in to damage limitation mode0 -
Join the club GTS. It's damage limitation for me every week! Always have far too many syns over the weekend. Hoping to be a bit better today so I will still have at least some syns each day Mon-Wed!
Today's plan:
B - Fry up - bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms
L - Soup made with white beans and veg from last night's dinner
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roast carrots, onions & peppers, swede, Savoy cabbage.
HEA - milk
HEB - not sure but maybe a couple of Ryvita with cottage cheese & a hifi bar
Syns - not sure yet - will decide later

VickyT Morrisons have Haywards mixed pickle, it was £1 a jar a couple of weeks ago.
STS for me this week, pleasing considering two birthday nights out, a works Xmas do, and an Xmas shopping trip with my sister. I'm obviously being good when not out and not as bad as I could be the rest of the time.
Still only 1/2lb from my next shiny, it is taking forever!0
