I'd love to have had that pound hollowhead , do post your menus if it helps. :)

The bhajis were quite small denise and she said the recipe was from the curry book but I haven't got it. There seem to be lots of syn free recipes online including PON and SW. What gives your recipe syns? Is it flour?

MamanYep, 60g of gram flour; also 1/4 tsp baking powder. Recipe makes 12 bharjis. I've got one of the curry books but not the current one; haven't actually looked in there for another recipe.

Sometimes need to check the syns with PON & chubby cubs as they don't seem to update when there are syn changes. They also do tweaks which we get told should be synned.

  • Evening everyone & welcome to everyone joining this challenge.

Quiet day/evening - I didn't go running this morning but may go tomorrow if I'm up in time and choir tonight...had a nice time learning all our Christmas stuff, so a light supper when I got in.

I don't know if this makes me a miserable so and so but I've turned down a nomination for Miss Slinky....I hate these sort of things on a good day and tbh feel it's all a little contradictory- we keep getting told that it's our 'journey' but then with things like this it's a case of my journey's better than yours.

(Plus the fact we're having a taster session which I also hate but more importantly, OH and I are having a date day on Saturday.....told you I was being miserable didn't I)

Hoping tomorrow will see me in a better frame of mind

    Morning and tfi Friday!!

Went out for a carvery last night and just didn't stick to my plan at all, went for the large option with extra meat but forgot about the huge Yorkshire pud and pigs in blankets that come with it. Didn't eat all of the yorkie and had heaps of veg though, but couldn't resist an ice cream afterwards. Thankfully had syns left over from the week but I'd say they're all used and then some after last night. Stuck to soda water and lime though so no alcohol.

Not had a great week in terms of exercise either so I'm not looking forward to tomorrows weigh in, but I'll take it on the chin and move on whatever happens.

Todays food (fridge getting a bit bare so it's not looking too good for speed today):

    B - Weetabix & 2 plums (milk - HEA) 6 syns
L - Bacon & egg on wholemeal toast (HEB)
D - Tuna Pasta made with light mayo, onion and sweet corn - 4 syns
Alpen light bar - 3 syns

Food shopping tomorrow after group and I'm going to attempt an alcohol free November so hoping for good results this month :)

I sort of felt the same when I was told that I'd been nominated, but I've decided that it's just a bit of fun and I've written my wee speech accordingly.

Will let you know how it goes :)
