It won't identify you - they send these out in batches of a hundred or more, all on one day.

Cut down that draft to make it concise and to fit it into two or three early paragraphs only, using the defence template as your base.

Only post the paragraphs you have changed , remove the rest from your posts , we don't need to see or read paragraphs coupon mad wrote , just ones you have changed , usually paragraphs 2 & 3

You won't find many people on here that will check an off piste defence that isn't the Oct 2020 template defence by her

Save all the back stories for the WS , just open the door in the defence , go through the door at the WS plus Exhibits stage

That's a great way of explaining it - thanks. :)

Hi Keith, I'm reluctant to post that information since it may identify me. But I've checked all the dates and I have until early Feb to get this to them.  There's still plenty of time to edit if that's why you're asking!

    Haha.

Do you think that yours was the only Claim Form sent on that day?
Hundreds, if not thousands, of Claims are raised every day - and that is only counting those from parking companies.

Anyway, it's entirely up to you. I would like to help you, but it's your call. Good luck.

  • Sorry if I wasn't clear - this was just to go in the 2 and 3 section of the standard defence (updated Oct 2020) - but I take the point it may be too long :-)  Love the door analogy!  Thanks.  In answer to the earlier Q, issue date 4/1/21, did my acknowledgement yesterday (7/1/21), so looking at 9/2/21 as final date, but hope to submit somewhat earlier than that.
  • Sorry KeithP - wasn't meaning to be rude  - and do appreciate all and any help.

iI you withhold too much information it makes it difficult to give considered advice.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Lots of people file the AOS too early , shortening the deadline date , hence why we ask these questions , but adapting and posting paragraphs 2 and 3 should not take too long anyway

If ALL of that is going in the paragraphs 2 & 3, it is, as others have said, WAY too long. A lot of what you have said is covered in the standard template.  Just stick to legal/technical statements and save the "story of the day" for the Witness Statement, which is a narrative.  As @Redx writes, providing you have introduced a point in the defence you can expand in the WS.
