Well i went to get my MRI scan results for my back and they are clear???? The [STRIKE]stuck up cow[/STRIKE] consultant said she couldn’t see anything wrong with my discs they were “pristine?”
she said one looked dehydrated and could have leaked fluid to the nerves. I burst into tears saying why am in so much pain then. She couldn’t really answer and just said be greatful you don’t need surgery.
Which of course i am, but now im in limbo. Shes referring me to the pain clinic.and couldn’t tell me how long that would take. Im sure she was thinking heres another one swinging the lead. She said it will take time (12 months after i did it isn’t long enough?)
God im wound up. And cant face phoning work to tell them that there isn’t anything showing up. My pay ends next month.joy of joys. Right come on El ,buck your ideas up and stop whinging......... could be worse....IF I THINK HOW I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW,:rotfl:
Good news had my first WISPA. My wonderful Mum posted me two. Now i have 1.;) May let OH have a bite after and pretend i only got 1. (hides 1st wrapper )
Right im off will call in after.

Hello all,
Hugs/congrats/condolences to those who need them (sorry I have had a complete blank)
Had a rubbish nights sleep - lay awake until 3, then next doors cockerel started crowing at about 5 - it wasn't even dawn!
Having quite a good day - went to the car auction this morning, everything went for too much money though. Have done 2 loads of washing and the washing up, scrubbed 2 rugs that the cat decided to use a toilet . I don't think the cats are too well atm - one has a poorly eye and the other doesn't seem to be able to use his back end properly (his legs don't seem to be working correctly). If Patch's eye is no better tomorrow I will take her to the vet as it looks quite sore (all weepy and she isn't opening it)
Think I might go and clean the bathroom, or make some soup.
Dinner is chicken enchiladas, with rice and salad.
Have a good one:beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hi everyone
Hope you have had a good day
PENNYPINCHER good luck with the essay, I find 4am is a good time to write. Managed to buy two jumpers and a pair of jeans for £32 in M&S. very pleased as my wardrobe is dire. Off to work soon, must get organised!

Hi all
A quickie before I start cooking the yellow stickered mince!
I can see a few folk have poorly kids, tooth extraction, visits to doctors and snooty consultants. Also I am pleased to say I can brag about being on first name terms with a famous authoress. When are you doing a Jilly Cooper???? Us on the thread want signed copies of everything, please (free of course)!
Have read everything today but the brain is now in no go mode I am afraid. Had my doctor's appointment today and most of my blood tests have come back OK. Anaemia (sp) one not so good so having to get further tests on that one. She is none the wiser about how I feel - thinks it is connected with DH retiring last year and me relinquishing control! Need to see the doctor again in a fortnight - she has confirmed that because I haven't been fast tracked by hospital my heart monitor readings last week must be OK. She has doubled my blood pressure tablet dose!
SIL has just finished a strong antibiotics course for his little lump in case a throw back to his little procedure (where is the scissor icon!). The lump is still there so he is now awaiting an appointment for a scan. A bit worrying but at least I think things have been noticed early.
Will probably catch up with you all again once I have cooked!

Hi all, its been all go here today so not read the thread yet!
My DH, Taplord had to go to the docs today with his sciatica, is off for 2 weeks now and is waiting for an MRI scan, physiotherapy(possibly accupuncture) and the doc has given him some new meds to try, only SSP for him in his job so will be tightening the belt this month!
I had to go to the dentist with a toothache I'd had for a few weeks - couldn't put it off any longer:rolleyes: , he pulled out an old filling and replaced it with a new type - so much better, only trouble was the local anaesthetic didn't work until i ended so with 4 times the normal amount:eek: before it worked!
Have also defrosted both freezers, done 2 loads of washing, half done the ironing, made some jam crumblies, done DS2s paper round, vacuumed, washed kitchen floor, tidied bedrooms, cooked toad in the hole, the list goes on , all on my 'day off'
Am now having a break to catch up with my friends here!
Back when I've had a read of the thread!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all! I was planning to come on here first thing this morning - don't know quite what happened, somehow I just didn't get around to it.....
Went to Asda this morning and was horrified to find that Smartprice butter is now 85p   and their Creamery butter is 94p    . I'm beginning to wonder if it's about to break the "£1 barrier"! However, we did get a pack of 3 sleepsuits for DD2's forthcoming baby for £3.75. She got the baby clothes out of the loft the other day and was puzzled as to why there were so few 0-3 month size clothes - then remembered that most of the ones DGS wore had been lent by a friend, and are now being worn by the friend's baby niece, so she needs a few basic bits until we know what sex the baby is and can think about buying pink or blue - nice to see tiny babies in white though sometimes. My MIL says all her six wore white until they were 9 months old.
Dinner tonight will be leftover gammon, mash and cabbage. Not sure what we'll be having the rest of the week, will see what looks good at the butcher's in the morning! (So much for my mealplanning. eh Churchmouse!)
There will definitely be sausages one day, as someone mentioned having sausages with savoury rice on the mealplanning thread and it sounds a nice change so we're going to try it!
Sorry I can't remember what a lot of people said, but
Mrs Flittersnoop - so sorry to hear about your friend (((HUGS)))
lilmisskitkat - congratulations! :T
Twink - how lovely to have your recipe in a book! Congrats to you too.
Penny-Pincher - sorry you are not so well again today (((HUGS)))
Blairweech - oh your poor cats! Hope the vet can help Patch, hopefully soon be better.
Ellie - sorry to hear about your back - how frustrating to have the consultant blithely tell you there's nothing wrong that she can see! Hopefully you won't have to wait long for an appointment with the pain management clinic. (((HUGS))) (very gentle ones!) and Taplady, sorry about Taplord's sciatica, a horrible thing. My DH found acupuncture helped so i hope your DH will too. glad you got the toothache sorted!
Shimmigirl - welcome to the daily thread (even though you may be surprised to be here!:D )And well done on making those purees and melting moments, cooking is good fun though it's not easy to find time to do it with smaal children around.
Churchmouse - I hope your headache cleared up in the end! I see you and I have the same approach to instruction booklets...:p
Better go now, as I can't see well to type in artificial light so I have to keep squinting at the screen to see what I've just written
Hope everyone has a good evening and that all the poorly children get well extremely fast and don't pass their germs around the family.

Well, my main work pension forecast has arrived today and DH and I have had a pencil out doing long division! OK, won't get full pension when I am 60 but it is looking good enough to predict I will retire on 24th December 2010, the day before my 60th! Single Status is going through with the Council I work for and there is an option to opt for the standard 35 hour week or to go for a 37 hour week to enhance pension etc! As I work 40+ a week and get time off in lieu, this is a great option for me to enhance last couple of years' salary and more important, final lump sum and pension.
Doctor today thought my health problems partly due to life changes over the last 5 years - DD leaving home, us helping to gut flat she bought with now SIL, having DGS1, them getting married, having other 2 DGSs, DS going to live in Ireland and DH retiring (with 4 week's notice) last year!
HardupH - not caught up with your blog over last couple of days - hope all well with lodger. Have you ever posted your scarf pattern - I should maybe check out the knitter's thread.
PennyP - sorry meant to mention you earlier. Hope hospital went OK.
Mentioned to Haribo in a pm today - there is a huge craft shop being advertised for opening somewhere in Glasgow. Anyone in the vicinity or visiting if you are into craft things, well worth a visit.
DLB - sorry about the kitchen. Maybe CC more successful. Emma - will be in touch re cards.
Love again to all.
