Tired mum - tis me, the newly pregnant one! and don't i know it, must have been for a wee about 6 times today already! :rotfl:
Thanks to all for the congratulations yesterday
Its a lovely morning here, all clear and cold, the air is really fresh and crisp - my fave kind of day! I'm going to do the shopping in a minute, really can't be bothered but we have nothing in. Then i think i'll have to have a lie down this afternoon again, i'm sooooo tired all the time.
B - tea, toast, juice, fruit
D - Soup and bread
T - Sausage, mash, yorkshires, onions, gravy and peas
Take care all

Nice and quiet as all daughters are either at school, university or work.
Washing machine is on and dishes have all been done in DW so am sitting here with a tray of tea and being a real slob! Bliss!!!!
Managed to get 10,000 grains of rice donated last night when I was on the "free rice" site so feel quite virtous.
Dds enjoyed the herby chicken breasts last night so will make them again soon.
DD(13) had two teeth out yesterday so spent most of the evening feeling a bit badly done to - got lots of soft food that was easy to eat for her and after about four hours she managed to eat quite a bit as she was starving!
She has another two teeth to be taken out next week and then we can "look forward" to the brace!
Still have soup left so that will do for lunch and might experiment with veg mince for tea.
Hugs to everyone feeling poorly.
There seems to be a bug around as two DDs have sore throats and a cough ( one was even desperate enough to take my home made elderberry tincture)."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Morning all,
on a flying visit as I am like the cow's tail, all behind, today as I had a bad night, my foot swelled up and my knee was puffy and painful. Had a flu jab yesterday, so should be better today.
Had OS fireworks last night - sat out on our wall and watched the Council's big display. OK< we didn't pay £5 pp to get in, so could not enjoy the expensive funfair, nor could we pay too much to eat dodgy hotdogs, and we did miss the ground level displays, but the sky was filled with beautiful lights, so we were happy.
It is quite an annual local tradition to enjoy the freebie, so lots of neighbours were out too, and the hill does get a bit crowded. We live near the Uni, and usually get on OK with the students. I thought it was totally out of order that one boy should think it was socially acceptable to mock people for being 'too cheap to pay properly' just because he could not walk straight down the pavement - then someone shouted after him 'too cheap to pay English tuition rates'... well, it was funny at the time!
Going to muck out the cupboard in the back room, it is under the stairs but you can stand in it - if there is room! (the 'real' understair cupboard is in the hall). Too full of junk now which has not come in useful, so it can go.
((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs to all)))))))))))))))))I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all!!
Well so much for my new flipping kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Council been and said there must have been a mistake as my kitchen more than meets the decent homes standard so i dont qualify!!!! Have told them that crazychicks next door though hers would qualify and they have arranged for a surrvey to go to see her, hope she gets it.
So at least my kitchen is spot less after i cleaned it to within a inch of its life for the council coming!
Iv got hairdresser coming later and need to make a start on tea, not sure what we are having yet, have loads of ebay posting to do, thats the bit i hate.
Right off to start upstairs

Good morning all.
Short post from me, I've had a thumping headache. Got up to go to the gym, but at 6.30 it wasn't getting better so I went back to bed. And no Haribo, it wasn't/isn't a hangover:rotfl: :rotfl:
SnowyOwl, you do NOT have to go on a bakeware buying shopfest:eek: The instructions for ALL ovens include maximum sizes for baking sheets and roasting tins. (I'm not pretending that I adhere to these, but I have noticed them;) ) Now the bakeware I use happened to be *within size* for my last gas oven. The newish fan oven which is the same size as the old gas one says these tins are way beyond the maximum size, go figureI really am not going crazy:rotfl:
twink, how wonderful!!:TI shall buy the book, and then in a nonchalant way say "oh yes, I know that contributor":rotfl:
dlb, sorry you won't be getting a new kitchen. What a disappointmentLet's hope crazychik gets luckier.
My head is still very heavy, but at least the legion of little men hammering away has stopped, so I'll stop typing and go back to reading.
Hope your days go well,
CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
thriftlady get the book from the library like i did, i put the recipe on the good granny site but think most of the recipes come from her family, the only ones i am going to copy are oatcakes and gipsy creams
not much doing here, just keeping busy, 48 days to christmas, so the 2 dgs's told me this morning so must get their pressies before long
