Morning folks!
Bit sleepy this morning - apparently my mum called my dad at 9.45 last night to say that she'd had he op and was now back up on the ward. My dad texted me to tell me this at 4.40 IN THE MORNING. Why???????
Today's carrielovesfanta is brought to you by the letters C. O. F. F. E and E
Luckily tis my Friday and I've no plans tomorrow.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores- done
- Charge phone in work - done
- strip wash instead of shower - done
- Gym at lunchtime
- Nip into B&M for bulbs on the way home. I scoped them out on the tinterwebs last night. £3.99 for 2.- done
- OH to take our broken ipad to his mum's as a spare as hers has died - poss get the screen replaced for free?
- Knit sock if not too tired. I'm at the heel so can't do it tired as I'll make mistakes. I might buy another needle so that I can have a tired sock and an awake sock. Sock knitters - what can I put the instep stitches on while I'm working on the heel? Leaving the needle in seems to stretch the stitches.
- Heating still off- done

Morning all
Chandelier - What an absolute plonker that other driver was beeping at you like that! No need for that kind of rude behaviour, we're all just trying to go about our business. Fingers crossed it isn't too costly to repair.
DNMS - think I might need to join you on the "no internet" campaign. Spending far too much time loafing about on social media sites. Something to think about.- collect car - done, so glad to have it back. Behaving itself so far, although I fear it is only a matter of time...
- meals and snacks from supplies (shouldn't be too hard) - done and yesterday's supper felt mighty extravagant too
- text friend re dog - done, success! She's a good 'un.
- enjoy a relaxed evening at home with OH:D:D - done, was lovely, although we both found we weren't enjoying the show we were watching before he went away, it just seemed silly and irritating after a break.
Today's list:
- bike to work etc (took me half an hour to drive home yesterday. I live 1.4 miles from work )
- gym tonight
- all meals and snacks from supplies
- sort out the heating (turned it on yesterday to help OH re-acclimatise. Forgot to turn it back off of course so now the dog is home alone in a toasty house)
- NSD (found a box of coffee filters in the cupboard, was the only thing we needed so I believe this will be possible)
Have a good day everyone0 -

I've downloaded a really good new app on my phone called Stay Focused. You can set lots of different rules.
I have limited facebook and youtube to 30 mins a day (but you can set different limits for different times of the day)
you can also totally block apps at certain times (I have blocked messages while I'm at the gym hahaha)LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Morning all,
Clf, hope you're mums ok after her op.
Chandelier, I've scratched my car that way years ago and swore never to let anyone rush me again!
Dawn, hope that coughs improving.
:waves: to all.
My list today
* ring plumber to arrange for them to service our boiler as its not working (cold shower last night, cold wash this morning as we just thought ds2 had run off all the water with his shower last night) done, coming Friday afternoon - booking it as a service is quite a lot cheaper then getting an emergency boiler call out
* ds1 still working his way through the ys bread for his breakfasts with eggs done
* gym session & refilled water bottle done and had a lonnnggggggg hot shower there
* use up brunch done, fried some mashed potato with a bit of bacon and had with a fried egg and some spinach - yum
* bake a batch of melting moments for my dad as a thank you
* bake a date cake for dh as its his birthday at the end of the week and he wants to take a cake into work
* make meatballs & tomato sauce for tomorrow nights tea as we have a mad night all out in different directions at different times and also have my niece and sis over for food. made and browned the meatballs now in the slowcooker with loads of veggies
* clean kitchen using stardrops/microfibre cloths
* ring ds2s outpaitents as the appointment they've sent is whilst we are away - will use mobiles inclusive minutes rather then the landline. done, new date will be sent through the post
* order dh's prescription from the new gps - on mobile as above done and they've booked him in for his flu jab- he didn't have last years one til this January as he kept putting it off, well he can't now cos I've booked it!
* check banking/update spreadsheet done
- move more money thats matured into new saving account done
- try and change more direct debits onto an account that will give cashback for them
- open regular saver accounts for the kids
* straighten up the conservatory as ds will be in there tonight having a guitar lesson from a friend.
** rm surveys done and received roll of Sellotape that I asked for the other day from them
** washed 2 loads on quick wash and hung out to dry - not much breeze but hopefully it'll dry a little
** received delivery of the two things missed of my delivery yesterday, got to keep an eye on that company as thats 2 out of 3 orders where something hasn't been delivered.
Thats my starter, better get on. Have a good day all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Well I'm here againbut have only been for a couple of minutes! Will close this down after this post. It's going well with reducing time and having much more time to do things I need/want to!
Had to contact amazon to return wonder harness delivered yesterday as it is broken. I might even be able to repair it I think but at £17 I shouldn't have to!
dropping car off then catching 3 buses with madam and a pup I'm still lead training is not for the faint hearted! Managed it but was tired by the time we got home. Really impressed with progress we have made over the last 3.5 dayshe is more behaved than a lot of older dogs we see. 97% of the time he walks right near me with a loose lead and is controlling his impulses a lot better :T:cool:

oh I am getting so
All I want to do is change bank details on some direct debits and every one I try I have a problem with!
They're either not answering their phones or their websites don't recognise reference numbers they gave me. Out of 5 I've wanted to change I've managed 2 (and both of those were with the same company!) I've put messages on the other 3 companies twitter feed to see if I can get anywhere that way!
update - within 20 minutes of tweeting 2 out of the 3 are now sortedI highly recommend tweeting if you aren't getting any joy with companies!
4pm. 3rd company replied with an email address to contact them on so fingers crossed it will get sortedSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hello everyone
Been a while since I posted on here. Hope you're all ok!
DNMS - don't suppose you have the link to the youtube video for the blanket? Want to make something with my little boys old clothes.
CLF - Hope your mum is ok!
Chandelier - I have a thing for stationery too! I always have to buy a pen when I go away haha.
Here's my list for today:
B/L/D from stores - crisps for breakfast (up late and all I had handy), l/o pasta from last night and yoghurt for lunch at work and will whip something up for dinner when I get home.
Take out spot lights that are broken so I can take into B&Q tomorrow and get some new ones.
Make something with some leftover cooking apples so I don't end up throwing them (they were free but hate waste)
Wash bedding and hang over doors to dry.
Check FPL
Clean bathroom (trying to just clean one room a day instead of trying to blitz once a week)
Post at least one thing for sale on FB
Make a meal plan for the next few days
Check bank to see how over drawn I amRead my diaryHere0 -
