Thats what I tell myself whenever I have problems with my ex I take comfort in reminding myself that we parted due to incompatibility. I must say he is very good in presenting himself to the children but terrible with me more like trying to look good to them so that their mom looks bad!  But I don’t really stress about it as I know children will suss it out with time!

Oof, that sounds hard with XH and new partner. Why would you say that sort of thing to a child?! Good luck with talking to him about it - I hope he takes it on board.

    Thanks @sistergold & @themadvix :)
She's a very emotionally intelligent young woman and is definitely on to all the adult drama and misbehaviour. It does mean that when she wants to stick it to me, she knows how to do it well but thankfully that doesn't happen too often!

I managed to do a couple of PA surveys today. One took way longer than advertised though but if they all get approved I'll be close to £10  Picked up a Magic Bag with an epic haul of a massive sourdough, 3 pastries and a bagel :yum: and picked up 2 of the Coop bundles (usually there's one element missing in our local shop so you can't get the deal but reckon they'd just restocked - made OH very happy as one of the products was a pack of Fabs!)

Mog seems a little more perky but is clearly on to us with the whole paste in a syringe thing. We even got a hiss when he's usually the most placid thing. What he doesn't know yet is the cone of shame goes back on at nighttime...

Just cashed out for the first time on PA! £10.47  I didn't realise it was through PayP@l (should have read the small print  ) so not sure if I will need to pay fees to extract the cash...  Will OP along with the TTs at the end of the month

Slightly more annoying is a delayed Quidc0 compare payment - like, it's your company, it shouldn't be delayed! Waiting on £40 for the energy switch when we moved back in March.

Popping into town early doors tomorrow (too hot! too crowded!) to pay in some cash and do some exchanges. What is up with H&M sizing?! I couldn't get a 14 even up to my hips let alone over them :grimace: So need to decide whether to risk the 16 or just get my money back. A friend said the kids sizes were way too small too so maybe it isn't just me and my lard

Shouldn’t need to pay fees - they used to take them off but think prolific have absorbed this cost now.

Yes cashing out on Paypal from Prolific has no fee now.  They used to also offer the free option of cashing out via Circle but when Circle stopped that and PP was the only option, it was made fee free :)

Thanks @themadvix and @teapot2 I now have the payout safely in my TT stash :)

Plan for this weekend is to have a major move-around as the ground floor will need to be cleared before the indoor phase of the renovation starts. It's a good opportunity for a sort out (DVDs will be thoroughly weeded) but also planning to move some furniture.  Tasks are:

    * Split double Ikea Besta cabinet into 2, move 1st half into DD room along with tall bookcase and shuffle the room around. I've got a few fabric organiser baskets stashed in the loft so can really give her room a new look and get everything looking sorted and grown-up (her top priority)

    * Sort out 2nd Besta and sort contents in loft, stash keeping stuff in loft. Find somewhere to store the cabinet (am sure DD will need the extra storage in time)

    * List anything for sale, get boxes for charity shop ready

    * Collapse in hot, sweaty heap

    Hello everyone!

Today was a drive back to Old Town and my university to click n collect some books from the library, take two boxes of DVDs to favourite charity shop and have lunch with family friends. Spent a fiver on gelato (literally incapable of saying no to gelato) and £30 on fuel which'll see me through to CC cut off on Monday (including drive to paddleboarding on Sat)

Came home to four walls completed on the garden room part of the build and OMG it's amazing! The concrete base footprint looked small but it's MASSIVE! Really exciting to see the project take shape. And we're saving money wherever possible. Latest bargain is 2nd hand french doors

I also did the MSE soft check on a 0% CC to try to shift some of the spend out of cash. Got accepted for the current best buy (the M&S one) but, strangely, no email confirmation?! Do you think I should be concerned??
