No idea about CC confirmation, sorry.
I think concrete bases always seem smaller before the walls go up (extensive experience of watching Grand Designs!). Glad you’re pleased with it so far and well done on the French doors.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks @themadvix I called M&S and the guy was pretty dismissive - how unreasonable it was to expect an email confirming the application had been made! I wonder if he'd been so offhand if I'd been a guy? Anyway, an email did make it this morning, phew! I should have the card next week, although nothing about the credit limit, which is kinda important.
The roof is going on the garden room today, which is exciting! Only real stress on the renovation project is that we still don't have an appointment, or any news about the prospects of an appointment, from our energy supplier about moving the meter box (which we have to coordinate with UK Power Networks moving the consumer unit). Without this, the whole internal works can't happen. OH already has anxiety and depression linked to her longterm health condition and this is really not helping. I've definitely noticed a decline in her mental health recently.
Likely NSD today and will be working hard. So much on my plate workwise (we're definitely NOT on holiday when students aren't on campus!) and am feeling a bit stressed. Pr0lific has had zilch the last few days so not earning eitherbut hey ho. Will check back in later.
Edit: I did pick up the L1dl £5 off £25 shop through the app that was listed on the MSE email last night though - the small win!

How rude of the M&S guy- no need for that at all!
Have a feeling you’ve said you’re with Tonik for energy. No words of wisdom, I’m still waiting on them, sorry. I feel for your OH - stress like this is bad enough when you’re mentally well.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Great to hear about the building works - but lots of stress there too, your poor OH
Remember to take care of yourself too, sounds like you're pushing the envelope a bit with work and whatnot.

Hopefully when you’re through the storms of getting tradesmen and decorating done your garden room can be a little sanctuary for your OH and you. Urgh how rude of the M&S guy- I’m always astounded by how some customer service teams can be so dismissive/rude!All this work sounds very exciting but also super stressful- your egg timer sounds a great way to keep productive and in check

Hello all
Just checking in quickly on A-level results day. If anyone has any questions or worries on uni admissions (or just wants to download to someone) I'm happy to try to help. I've already heard from one student really disappointed with his grades but he's still coming to us in October, so it was good to be able to reassure him.
