hI,
KLEENEZE IS A SCAM, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR CATALOGUES,WHICH YOU LOSE A LOT AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM, YOUR UPLINE TELLS YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO KEEP GOING BACK,YOU START TO SPEND TONS OF MONEY ON PETROL ESPECIALLY AT TODAYS PRICES.AND YES KLEENEZE IS GROSSLY OVERPRICED,AND THE PRODUCTS ARE INFERIOR, BUT THEN THATS OK TO SELL IT ON TO ELDERLY VULNERABLE PEOPLE AS 1 MEMBER STATED.YOU ARE TOLD TIME AND TIME AGAIN THAT ITS YOUR FAULT. THIS SYSTEM DOESNT WORK ANYMORE I WOULD SAY ONLY 2% PEOPLE MAKE IT.:mad:0 -
Ok, so it didn't work for you, but it is not a scam and it works for many other people.
Yes you pay for your catalogues, and yes you lose some, but then so does Argos, it's not a get rich quick scheme, it is YOUR OWN BUSINESS and as such you have to take the losses with the gains.
If you started something like this up on your own, you would have to design and print your own catalogues, source your own products and have somewhere to store the products until you sold them all.0 -
I've just spent 20 mins of my life reading thru the posts in this section, people need to spend their time better! Here is the truth from a Kleeneze distributor....
If someone is talking Kleeneze they want to recruit you!!!! Me included!
THATS OUR JOB FOR GOODNESS SAKE.!
Ask questions, get them to show you copies of income/proof of turnover, the company provides this every 4 weeks.
Its no better or worse than any other way of making extra cash, just different.
The incomes are great for the right people but most only earn a few hundred a month, for most thats enough to keep the wolf from the door.
Kleeneze are a good company but it is not right for everyone.
Betterware works as well but no one seems to come back for them.
If anyone has questions just ask
Happy to help but not to take abuse as some have given, some of the posts make it look worse than ( couldn't think of anything but i'm sure you can fill in the gaps).
Have a nice life all!0 -
Hi all!
Just wanted to offer a more balanced opinion of Kleeneze. I worked as a Kleeneze rep for a few months last year, and to be honest it didn't really work for me and I ended up making a minimal profit for hours of work!BUT- I think this was largely to do with the area I'm living in rather than the scheme itself- i.e the streets around me are saturated with catalogue distributors and therefore everyone always binned them and never ordered from them- this isn't Kleeneze's fault though is it? My advice would therefore be to have a think about the areas you want to work in before acting on anything- although it didn't work for me I know it has worked for other people who have lived in better/ less saturated areas.

Hello everyone again,
I have just read through the whole thread this morning- having some personal intrest in the subject! A few things did ring really true with me from my personal experience:
1) The focus on building a team:
My partner and I initially joined just to distribute catalogues and make some more money. However, before we knew it we were being invited to meetings/ motivational messages etc fiercely encouraging us to sponsor others. This eventually led to us feeling quite isolated- it seemed that because we didn't want to recruit others we were somehow not ambitious or hardworking- a fact that is not true!
2) The focus on meetings, 'Kleeneze' philosophy.
Can really identify with this. It got to the point where my sponsor would come to my house to pick me up for meetings, which were invariably had, at best, a brainwashing 'tone' with lots of motivational DVDs/talks/ books etc etc! However, probably worth remembering that lots of companies do this kind of thing, not just Kleeneze, and some people find it really useful.
3) The 'If you work hard you'll make it philosophy'
Undoubtedly for some the reason Kleeneze doesn't work is because people quit to fast/ don't work hard enough at it- I met many!BUT-my partner and I absoloutlely crucified ourselves in order to try and make our Kleeneze business work. To the point that it nearly cost us our seven year, and prior to that, very stable relationship. This is something that I found utterly soul destroying. I also lost friendships etc by lack of time/ encouragement by my sponser that they weren't my real friends because they wouldn't join Kleeneze. So to be honest I find it utterly irritating that some people are on this thread saying 'Kleeneze will ALWAYS work if you work hard enough, you need to work harder'- not true we sacrificed everything we possibly could have done to make K work, and it still didn't.
4) Your Kleeneze 'friends'
Someone says earlier in the thread that they lost all their so called K 'friends' as soon as they left, again something that happened to us. Prior to quitting we were seeing our sponsor and team at least 3x/week and, as you can imagine, over 6 months we became quite close. Yet, once my partner and I had decided to leave I received a very rude/abusive phone call from my sponsor basically telling me that I hadn't worked hard enough at it and I expected everything to be handed on a plate in life- considering I was on the verge of a breakdown at this point I found this absoloutely unbelievable.
However, having said all that- it does work for some and some people really enjoy it and believe in the philosphy/idea and good for them. We are all only trying to improve our quality of life after all. But- in my area K reps seem to be repeatedly having a similar sort of experience to me-so just something to bear in mind!I'm not trying to be rude to anyone/slag anyone's ideas or life off- so please don't be rude to me! I am only relaying my personal experience of K.
Thanks![STRIKE]Student Overdraft: £1700[/STRIKE]- now £1650, Halifax credit Card - £3300, Britannia credit card-£2300, Lloyds Credit Card-£1000, Partner's Overdraft- £1500. Vanquis Card [strike]£250[/strike]- GONE!

You cant compare Kleeneze to Argos. Argos dont come every other week to your house shoving a catalogue full of over priced tat. Argos dont brain wash people unlike Kleeneze
The sooner Kleeneze are closed down with there MLM scsheme the betterOk, so it didn't work for you, but it is not a scam and it works for many other people.

I just came across this thread by accident but its kinda telling because i looked online for ways to make some money and came across something that turned out to be kleeneze after i had put in my details. As soon as i realised who it was 'I call them betterware2' I decided not to proceed. Cold calling on people is not my idea of a good time and no matter how its sugar coated, cold calling is exactly what it is. I received a cd and stuff in the post which i haven't looked at.
I mainly wanted to address the points raised by a couple of the company's reps when they ask what the big deal is with putting a catalogue back out on the doorstep if you don't want it. I find that an amazing thing to say. Every day people get junkmail and spam through their letterboxes. We don't ask for it. We don't order it. We don't want it. It's shoved in the bin and forgotten about. The arrogance of the reps who believe that they are in a different class altogether and who don't understand why people get so angry about their 'spam' being put through our letterboxes gets me really angry. I have a different person, it seems, once a fortnight for both kleeneeze and betterware, putting through their rubbish. For over 10 years i have asked time and time again for it to stop. On a couple of occasions i have been there as it has come through the box and i have literally thrown it back out the door without looking where it lands. I guess they turn around and pick it up. I have spoken to them and asked why i have to keep telling them i don't want it and the response is always 'I'm new.' The last one through the door was ripped in half and put back on the doorstep with a note saying 'Do you get the message yet?' I'm waiting to see what happens. I've tried notices on the door which i have now taken down. For some reason also these people don't include themselves in the doorstep salesperson bracket and so ignore most signs.
I'd like to finally say that i would never purchase any of the useless items that are sold in these booklets. That i am perfectly within my rights to sling them back out of the door in one piece or in tatters. I would rather sit and chat to the jehovas witnesses who have a meeting place at the end of my street and come almost daily to knock on our doors, on my doorstep than have one more kleeneeze catalogue shoved through.
As said before the only people who would generally buy from these booklets are the elderly and vulnerable. The rest of us would not want such rubbish and even if we did we are aware that it is much cheaper to buy in our local shops. They know exactly who they are targeting and their actions disgust me.0 -
Hi,
Just wanted to say that I can totally understand the previous person's comments re the catalogues. To be honest I wouldn't mind leaving it out if I had a porch or somewhere to leave it out for days but I live in a terraced house and I literally have nowhere to leave it but out on the pavement- as does the whole street! So you can imagine what all the streets around me look like after K/Betterware have been round- an absoloute mess! This is often made worse by the fact that my K reps rarely/ if ever come back and collect them when they say they will- although from personal experience I understand why they won't. In my area it is hardly worth the effort for them in terms of the money they get back.
Also- with respect to the previous comment and Kleeneze reps ignoring door to door saleman signs- when I was a rep (oh happy days!) we were continally told to ignore them and that we were not 'door to door salesman', and to be honest, because I am young and naive I used to buy into that. But thinking about it your right, it is just another form of cold calling. It does also target the eldely/lonely and housebound. In fact we were actively told to go to areas which were densely populated with old people as they were more likely to buy! I am a nice person, and thinking back it makes me feel quite uncomfortable how 'brainwashed' or influenced I was by their way of thinking.[STRIKE]Student Overdraft: £1700[/STRIKE]- now £1650, Halifax credit Card - £3300, Britannia credit card-£2300, Lloyds Credit Card-£1000, Partner's Overdraft- £1500. Vanquis Card [strike]£250[/strike]- GONE!

The people I encounter delivering these in my area soon give up, as we always get new agents. That to me suggest that Kleeneze MLM scam is telling people they can make vast amount of untold riches. Yes right what a load of bum
If you leave a note on your door that you dont buy goods they ignore them, if you go out and chase after the people who deliver them they look at you as if its YOU that is the idiot for handing them back. If you leave them at your door on collection day, they dont come, so you have a soggy mess despite leaving it in a plastic bag damp gets in.
The goods are tacky, and well over priced, the only mugs who buy stuff are either lazy (cant be bothered to go to shops and find the similar item much cheaper), or vulnerable.0
