Thanks SSG,
The holiday pot was a bit higher but I've had to take some money to pay a man to fix tiles on the roof and remove moss - don't you just love storms. At least I had the money sitting in a pot.
The weekend past was really enjoyable. Sat I was so busy but doing nice things. I got hair & nails done and then headed out to a local pub for a birthday party. It was a relatively cheap night as I was on the water and only bought 1 round. On Sunday, I went with my sis and watched nephews play football in sub zero temperatures and hail/snow. I couldn't complain of the cold as nephews were running about in shorts. I then took the pup for a walk and again got snowed on.
Tidied the house but avoided the ironing. This week is a short week as it is St Paddy's day on Monday (bank holiday) and I'm taking Friday on leave to make the most of it. No volunteering this week but plenty next week.
Sat up watching Dirty John last night on Netflix and should really have gone to sleep but it was gripping and I had the toddler tantrum in my head that I didn't want to go to sleep as it brings Monday a lot faster.

Your weekend sounded great fun Munchin. I love your phrase "toddler tantrum!" It's very apt and I often feel like that too!:rotfl:

Sounds like a lovely weekend, Munchin
I've been meaning to watch Dirty John so I'll add that to my list. I watched After Life on Netflix at the weekend - written by Ricky Gervais. Funny and deeply moving

Thanks SSG & Lilith - I was thinking about 'Ater life'next but wasn't sure as Ricky Gervais is a bit like marmite for me. Will give it a go next. Sister & I like similar things so when she recommended 'Abducted in plain sight', I was texting her as the madness unfolded. Last night she must have been watching Dirty John as I got texts 'OMG the grandmother is nuts as well' or 'She's taking him back!!!!!!!!'. Almost like cheap interactive tv
.
I'm in work but we are going to get 'Storm Gareth' today - who names these storms???? I had to fork out money to get a few tiles replaced after the last storm so would not be happy if Gareth does no more damage.
Money front - popped into Mr Ts for 1 or 2 small things and came out with £9.54 spent - so need to stop going into shops without a list.
In work now so I better get on with some work.0 -
I hope Storm Gareth passed you by Munchin and your tiles have remained intact!:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I'm sick to death of storms and wind and rain . I think the weather will be a bit better next week, where I am anyway. I hope Storm Gareth spares your roof tiles. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks SSG & HHD - tiles still present and correct but I think there is a storm Hannah is on the way.
Long weekend as it is St Paddy’s day tomorrow. I’m doing my first race tomorrow.... well I will be plodding along and everyone else will be racing. I’m nervous in case knee plays up but I will just have to bring deep heat and get on with it. After that I’m going for lunch with running buddies and that is it. Today I’m going to a funeral - I’m just the driver for my Mum and her friends as I don’t know the person. Kind of feel good that I can help out Mum & co when I can.
Lost .5lb today - even though that is a small loss it is still all going the right direction...still wish it would hurry up though.
Yesterday I went shopping with my Mum as she wanted tops for her holiday. I bought bedroom slippers at £4 and then I bought Mum lunch. It was a nice day out. We then came home and tidied.
Apart from funeral, no big plans for today.
