Whatever is agreed it should be written up into a living together agreement - so that you both know your legal positions should the relationship break down.

No wonder, he's keen. He is suggesting he lives with you for £145 a month. What man would n't?

A man(or woman) working full-time should offer to pay half without even having to discuss it.

You are right to ask him for more money. There should be enough trust in your relationship for you to know that he will not try to claim for your property. As this is not the case right now, then date him longer, before moving in together. Maybe move in together when you are married.

But he is paying half though. Some think he should be paying more than half.

It's like you have't read *any* of the other posts in the thread. For instance, all the ones pointing out that if he makes a contribution to the mortgage he will legally own part of the property.

Maybe next time you come across a thread with 5 pages of comments you could read some of them before adding to it....
