Hdd. Toshiba L500 - 1xc. No prod keys for auto route or office. Office is 2007 and Autoroute 2010. They don't do autoroute now but it is invaluable to me for optimising routes. I have tried others but don't work as well.
Have you tried waze ? Its saved me several times by re-routing me away from traffic problems ahead of head while travelling.0 -

Something about the courier losing the other. Worked out nicely if I remember correctly
.....
Yes, it appeared that my old one was stolen by a My Hermes courier. Well I was told the courier had been sacked over it anyway. I did come off a lot better by it though lol
They paid for this one and I have always liked it but it has got so slow since going onto Win10 and whenever there is an update it screws things up.
I wish Toshiba still did laptops.0 -

Thanks but waze would not do what I want Autoroute for. I have a sat navigation and don't want apps on my phone. I use Autoroute to optimise my journeys. I put in a list of post codes and it works out the best order to do them. I know there are other programs out there and several have been suggested on here which I have tried when Win10 took a dislike to Autoroute and it stopped it working until the next update but they were not as good or easy as Autoroute.0 -
Before I start taking things off and updating things I am doing another recovery media on a flash drive - just in case!! I can't remember where the original discs are.
I have a back up on a external hard drive but it has not been done in the last month or so, so is out of date. That drive is getting full. Can I do a back up on the same flash drive as the recovery media or not. There would be room on the flash drive.0 -
Hdd. Toshiba L500 - 1xc.
http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinued-products/satellite-l500-1xc/
The base model Has 2gb ram, SATA-150 and a Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 / 2.1 GHz
I would go to a ms dos prompt and type Systeminfo
Two things to look for is System Type and hope it does not say x64 based, and Total Physical Memory and Everywhere has mentioned that it is probably best to get more memory. X32 windows just may be better for that laptop of this spec though, but lets see what the other values bring in?
while you are at the dos prompt type DIR and the last value should be Bytes Free - what is the number there?
Sooner or later someone is going to mention that you download and run the free versions of malwarebytes and ccleaner, but first make a backup.0 -
People still use Autoroute? :eek:Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

Yes, good for what I use it for - I don't follow its routes, I have a sat nav for that0
