Anyone had their application rejected? Just attempted to sign up and got an instant rejection following submission.
Thought that was odd as haven't had issues with any other banks, nothing negative on my credit file etc.
What possible reasons could there be for rejection? They have given a number to call to 'appeal' the decision, would that be worth the time?
maybe they've just been inundated with new applications and their systems can't cope? if it's a free phone number they've given you best call and find out?0 -
Can I deposit now, withdraw on 4 April and reinvest on 6 April without losing the bonus? This is because I would be transferring in funds from a 1% ISA cash account and would not want it to become unwrapped when the tax year ends.0

I opened last night (early morning)- transferred my test £1 payment from linked ac - and payment returned 'as problem with my linked ac'.
Tried again this morning - bounced again.
All codes correct as subsequently attested to by their CS. He'll get back to me regarding a 'possible known issue'.0 -
Anyone getting the Marcus logo and a loading circle after entering your info?
Nvm, looks like Adblock issue or 2nd time lucky0 -
Exactly, horses for courses. Not sure why you're so adamant that it's no good when clearly it's useful for some people (the fact that it's not the perfect account for every single person is neither here nor there).
You keep your multiple current accounts and regular savers if that's what you want to do.0 -

And yes if the terms don't mention anything about losing the bonus for a w/d you wouldn't lose the 0.15% bonus.
But I wouldn't recommend running it that close to the date wire - see above post #76.0 -

Not available to open now, but the point is that if you want the highest rate don't just look at the headline rate, but also the frequency in which the bank increases that rate when the BOE rate increases. Some do it far more frequently than others and are more likely to pass the increases on, whereas some never do.
There may be an account paying slightly less than the top rate, however it may be more likely than others to pass on any future increases.Yeah, and £15 on £1,000 deposit isn't really worth it. So what's your point? By the way I'm flattered that what I say is so impregnated into your brain. Maybe you like me more than what you're letting on (though I hope not).
You said that this Marcus account doesn't work for you in a previous comment, so you won't be depositing £250k, will you :rotfl: And I didn't say that £3750 isn't better than £15, that's you saying that. Not that you'd get £3750, you'd have to pay tax on that as it's above the allowance. Chances are if you have £250k spare to put in this account, you're a higher or additional rate taxpayer. Perhaps you'd like to have another look at what you said :beer:Futuristic wrote: »And within minutes account opened and test deposit showing :money:0 -

Performance and behaviour in the past is no guarantee that you'll see similar in the future. As we are talking instant access accounts with FSCS protection, there's no need for complicated considerations. Just move your money to a better account as and if one becomes available.
Not many things are guranteed, but there's nothing wrong with hedging your bets and when it works in your favour all is well and good....1.56% in a fully FSCS protected account, with 'real' faster payments without limits on those payments.0
