  • Hi Ann,
good luck, and please report back to us how it went.
    xx
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

  • Were do I start, I got there at 9.45 and there was one guy in front of me. I was thought I was prepared but no, I had forgotten the all important fee that I'd left at home in an envelope . Quite lucky I live about 5 minutes away but it was just the inconvenience of loosing my space. I got back and there was about 3 other people now in front I didn't stress cause it got to my turn quite quick. Got to the desk and I said to the clerks to forgive me if I had forgotten any bits in the forms.

The whole fee thing has changed now, as i receive the wtc and ctc I had to pay the fee of £150 apparently this changed on the 01 October 2007. All I wanted to do was petition my BR and get out of there. I only filled in 1 form for the BR and ur supposed to do 2 why they just couldn't photocopy it i don't know. Anyway I then had to go home and get my wage slips and complete another form. Got back to the court to be told that I was gonna be seen by the judge today cause he's done his lot for today

So yh I have to get into that mod again for tomorrow good thing I'm not working aswell.

I really feel that they need to change that back to the way how it was as I can't see what the difference is.
  • Hi

Sorry but i'm preparing again to go to the court tomorrow. Do I need to declare my internet, sky, phone and mobile?? they are all up to date as they are paid by dd.

    Pain about today. :(

If you mean 'declare' as in list then in the debt section of the forms, then no if they are up to date.

If you mean in the outgoings on section 7 then yes/no/maybe.;)

Telephone/mobile definitely, since you are allowed these as long as the costs are reasonable for domestic use.

Sky/internet are a little more debatable. The section in the forms say to list "Other essential payments" so I wouldn't say they could be classed as that. Personally I would leave those two off, but make sure that you are generous in some of the other categories.;) Perhaps put in a bit for 'saving for holidays' anyway as that is often allowed. Your budget must have some slack in it to cope with unexpected expenses.

As discussed before, you are allowed to have sky/internet, but the cost must be met from any surplus you have left after essential outgoings. If the OR checks a statement, they will see the DD's anyway.

Hope you have better luck tomorrow. :)

    Hi

When OH went into the court on Tuesday we took our WFTC/CTC letter in and we didn't have to pay the £150 but had to complete another form (i think it was a claim form and they put it with a copy of our tax credit letter), i may be wrong but i think we were told it was because we were in receipt of WFTC, CTC and income of less than £14,400.

Good luck with tomorrow, i bet you were glad you only lived local.
