Lovely post Chrisv, absolutely loved it! Many thanks. I would like to add something to it. While taking care of health and health-related dietary products, it would be a better idea to visit a coupon and cash back website like Kiindly to shop for such products as not only you get several coupon deals there, the cash back amount is quite good too that is promptly transferred to your PayPal or eCheck account.

No idea which post you mean but not really relevant to this thread.

Also this is a UK site so deals are not the same here as in the USA.

    Hi there all

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while - I've fallen off the wagon rather , but will come back for the next challenge - can you put me down for 12lb please Chris ? Thank you.

Also just a note that Card Factory are now selling their A5 page a day 2019 diaries for £1, which I've found great for keeping as a food diary

    Welcome back p00hsticks.

I just use the online food diary so stick to a small handbag diary for appointments etc. Bought mine the other day in The Range also for a £1, a lovely pink one with sparkly flowers on (just hope the sparkly bits don't fall off in my bag, LOL!)

Most of the time, I just post on here what I'm having. That's fine when maintaining along with my meal plan on my shopping list. When I'm seriously trying hard to lose a few pounds I have a notebook where I write down everything that passes my lips and keep a running total of all syns.

I bought a diary yesterday too. Like you, I like a small one in my handbag. DH does the same (although not in a handbag!:D) and we keep a shared calendar at home. I got mine in The Works. It's got an embossed tree on it. I think it's meant to be a Mulberry copy.:)

Ok so I've just seen a recipe that I want to try to adapt it and make it more SW friendly.
    Jalapeno popper grilled cheese!

I'm thinking fresh Jalapeno chillies, bacon, light cream cheese + light cheddar to top it off, on brown toast and a splash of tabasco? I'd welcome any suggestions please as this is right up my street!
    Original recipe here:

You can have results or excuses, but not both.

fatrab - think that would work but you'd need to work out the syns! I'd suggest the Light Philli as you can have I think 75g of that for 6 syns (or HEA) so works out cheaper synwise than standard light cream cheese. Don't forget it needs to be wholemeal bread for HEB not just brown bread. How about using the crustless wholemeal then you can make it a triple decker!

DH doesn't bother with a diary but we do have a shared calendar which we use for holidays, appointments etc. I use the Free one which comes with the Nov/Dec SW magazine - also has the added benefit of recipes each month!

I am reporting in with a loss of -1lb
Am off work with the kids this week, have not done much so far but planning to walk down the river tomorrow so should be plenty of steps, then dd is going shopping with her friends so I shall be lurking nearish with ds so more walking, then over the weekend we have Comic-Con so yet more walking so hoping for a decent loss next week, hoping to get into the next stone by my birthday next month.

    Good work, TG and SIRENS.

fatrab, that jalapeno recipe sounds great! What clever ideas you have, Denise.

I’ve stayed on the straight and narrow today and should finish within syns. Out for lunch tomorrow.

    Good luck everyone.
