    Hello all :A
WI with tiny gain .2lb, totally fed up :( been really good but have tum issues :o! Also think my meds are the cause too.
My first full day off yesterday pretty much passed in a haze. I slept a good couple of hours in the afternoon, still feeling washed out with brain fog. Had blood test and have Dr appointment the day we go back to school so this week is for chilling! (Not gonna happen as have to strip the walls in living room as council want to replaster )

Good news is my colleague who lost her baby last year is now pregnant again :T, she’s over the 20 week mark so has let everyone know. Really happy for her and fingers crossed she gets her rainbow :A.
Have a good weekend all :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Enjoy your week off tie.:)

We're off to a black tie do in December and when DH tried on his dinner suit, the trousers seem to have shrunk!:rotfl: So he said he'd like to do a bit more SW. He has SW dinners and most breakfasts except for his muesli which isn't a HEB brand. His downfall is cakes and biscuits and sandwiches at lunchtime. I showed him online that his Belgian Buns are 20 syns each! So I took some of that stuff off my shopping list and bought him Benefit bars instead of his usual cookies. I got some mackerel in mustard sauce (syn free and £1 in Sainsbury's) as he wants to try that and/or sardines instead of his usual sandwiches. We'll see if those few tweaks make a difference.

    My EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, overnight oats with red berries, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with veggie chilli, cottage cheese and gherkins
D: chicken wrapped in bacon, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (mange tout, broccoli, asparagus)
    Syns: weekend wine:).

Had far too many syns last night as went to visit friends!

Line drawn and back on it today. Need to do a bit of damage limitation to pull it back - I didn't last long on 10 syns a day, did I?

    Today's menu:

B - SW fry up - bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms
L - HM minestrone soup (enough left for another 2 lunches for us both)
D - lam chop, mash, cabbage, mixed veg (carrots, peas, green beans,
cauliflower; tsp mint sauce; splash gravy

    HEA - skimmed milk
HEB - none had but may have a couple of Hifi bars later
Syns - fat/skin on lamb 4; reduced sugar mint sauce 0.5; gravy 0.5

Just looked up the syns on line - can't believe the reduced mint is only 0.5 per Tbs and I only had a tsp!

Maman good to hear that your DH is prepared to have a go at SW - you'll have to tell him it's only 40g of oats for breakfast in future! Do you think he'll now be prepared to weigh it so you can save 6 syns on the days you have porridge?

My DH mainly has the same as me but he eats biscuits & cheesy biscuits which I very rarely have but I do only buy the Lotus biscuits as they are only 2 syns each so not too bad on the odd occasion I eat them. I've no idea how many the little cheesy biscuits he has are as haven't looked because I don't eat them.

He also has crisps quite regularly but he seems to lose any excess weight when we come back from holidays quite quickly! and then maintains easily as well. It's so unfair!

That's the important thing midge. Enjoy tonight's meal then draw that line until your holiday. That's the way it seems to work for target members. It's the 'good when you can' principle that denise uses. It does work. What matters is that you get back to SW when you can.

I missed that too. I sort of gathered it but I don't remember any official announcement.:D

I rarely buy salads bubbs, especially leaves, unless the weather is amazing and we'd eat it quickly. When we have a meal that needs a 'light' side of Speed like fish or chicken I have my easy go to veg. If I've got chips or something in the oven then I do mushrooms and tomatoes and bake them for the last 15 minutes. I do a medley of green stuff like asparagus, broccoli, sugar snaps or mange tout to go with that. Lately I've done stir fried veg using bits of whatever's available. Last night I had carrot, pepper, cabbage, mushroom, spring onion and broccoli so I did those with a shake of soy sauce and some 5 spice. Another favourite is to roast a cauliflower 'steak'. Then there's beetroot!:D

I have to portion up the veggie chilli I made last night and plan to keep a portion for my lunch. I've done my meal plan and will nip to Aldi before the football starts on the radio. Not hopeful of anything to celebrate though.:(

Yes but i dont think that goes with kfc, most people have baked beans and corn , i cant have baked beans and cant stand corn:rotfl::rotfl:

I weighed in this morning:o 1/2lb loss Chris can you book me as holiday next week please, i am not getting up that time on a sat every week!!

Thanks for that denise . Spurred on by you I told DH that 40g was SW recommended portion size for porage. He says he's happy to weigh it and can always add fruit. I'll still be having syrup because I enjoy it but it's a start. Thanks for the input.:)

  • STSthis week which I was ok with as I've given in to my body's cries for carbs this week.

Felt rotten when I got up but hubby dragged me out for a 5 mile walk which I ended up enjoying.

Not sure though if I'm going running tomorrow

DH is a bit more on board now. I looked up the syns for the little cheesy biscuits he likes and told him they're 6.5 syns for 25g (which is a large handful) and he's actually weighing them:D. Let's see how long it lasts:rotfl:.

Had a very on plan day yesterday and ended on 5.5 syns so 4.5 pulled back!

    Today's plan:

B - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans
L - LO minestrone soup; 1 slice of bread (0.5 HEB)
D - Roast beef, roast potatoes, roasted peppers, onions, carrots, HM yorkie (2.5 syns), cabbage, broccoli & peas. Followed by fruit, jelly (0.5 syns); quark; mini meringue (1 syn)

    HEA - milk
HEB - 1 slice of bread/1 Hifi bar
    Syns - yorkie 2.5; jelly; 0.5; mini meringue 1 = 4 syns

    Another 6 syns pulled back!

Absolutely! My DH is certainly thinking about syns too. He was delighted to learn that whisky is only 3 for a measure as he's more than happy to have that instead of wine and he just has water with it.

I know Mr Bubbs does SW at home. I wonder how common it is?

I've put a beef casserole in the oven for today. I have to admit that the Tesco red wine stockpots are pretty good. Not quite as good as the real thing but certainly worth a try. I used the last one today so will definitely buy more.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, baked beans
    L: veggie omelette, ham, pickles
D: beef casserole, SW roast potatoes, carrot & swede mash, cauli, broccoli, cabbage (maybe red and green)
Syns: 1 for cornflour, weekend wine:).
