Thanks for the review of fish soup denise . If it's a SW recipe I'm not surprised it needs tweaking. I wonder how they test them before they go into magazine or recipe books? Do they test them on SW members?

I've put a veggie chilli in the SC to have some later in the week and some for the freezer. For both mse :money: and environmental reasons I'm warming to the idea of some more meat free meals.:)

Definitely getting away from salad weather bubbs . Time for soups, casseroles and stews. All can be free on SW! :D

Funny how beanie has been very quiet on her new target. She's a dark horse. ;)

Veggie chilli bubbling away in SC. I might have to taste it soon. :D

  • Well, I weighed in yesterday after almost two weeks an I have +2LBS I'm really cross with myself but I know how and what I did. The essence is that if I think I won't get caught, I eat it. I'm still in target but back at the top with 3 weeks to my holiday.
Oh well, can't change it (or the 5 gins I had last night)
We are out to eat tonight but that is the full extent of my social life this week and I will be on plan and definitely be hoping for a loss next week.

That's the important thing midge. Enjoy tonight's meal then draw that line until your holiday. That's the way it seems to work for target members. It's the 'good when you can' principle that denise uses. It does work. What matters is that you get back to SW when you can.

I missed that too. I sort of gathered it but I don't remember any official announcement.:D

I rarely buy salads bubbs, especially leaves, unless the weather is amazing and we'd eat it quickly. When we have a meal that needs a 'light' side of Speed like fish or chicken I have my easy go to veg. If I've got chips or something in the oven then I do mushrooms and tomatoes and bake them for the last 15 minutes. I do a medley of green stuff like asparagus, broccoli, sugar snaps or mange tout to go with that. Lately I've done stir fried veg using bits of whatever's available. Last night I had carrot, pepper, cabbage, mushroom, spring onion and broccoli so I did those with a shake of soy sauce and some 5 spice. Another favourite is to roast a cauliflower 'steak'. Then there's beetroot!:D

I have to portion up the veggie chilli I made last night and plan to keep a portion for my lunch. I've done my meal plan and will nip to Aldi before the football starts on the radio. Not hopeful of anything to celebrate though.:(
