  • Well we did it, we rejoined slimming world and I am so pleased that my DD seems to be in the zone now.
My scales at home are well out compared to proper SW ones I was 1.5lb lighter than I am at home so I'm happy with that I'm still within target range so don't need to pay, and they just gave me a duplicate membership card so it's all sorted.
Also got the Iceland 10% discount card which covers your whole basket not just slimming world food, and bought the take 5 book so i'm looking forward to having a look through that.
So my new weigh in day will be Saturday morning now Chris if that won't muck up the chart.

Morning all. GTS enjoy tonight; draw the line and back on it tomorrow. Good luck.

Maman funnily enough I've just prepped a SC full of red cabbage. I love it slow cooked and you get so much out of quite a small cabbage. That will be ready this evening so I'll leave it to cool down and then put in the fridge overnight to portion up for the freezer tomorrow. Will have some of it tomorrow with dinner.

Well done majorica on still being in target and good that your DD is also on board.

My syns yesterday were for wine during the evening and stuck to 3 small glasses (15 syns). So I still have 15 syns to catch up during the week!

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
L - HM hummus; crackers; salad
D - chicken & lentil curry, syn free onion bharjis, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - crackers
Syns - not sure but still some wine left, LOL!

  • A measly - 1/2LB for me at class. Sometimes seems that the harder I try, the smaller the result. Heyho guess that's just the way it is.
Got my in laws staying at the moment so I'll pop back later to see what's been going on.

There is such a thing as trying too hard. Sometimes you need to relax a little. Give it a try!

Good for you having all the SW friendly snacks lined up majorica. While I love dancing, I'm not a Strictly fan. Sometimes I'll fast forward through the programmes in the later stages to just watch the actual dancing. I really don't like any programmes with judging involved. You enjoy it though!:)

I see none of us got a point today greentiger or Stoke. I didn't expect anything but resented the BBC commentators telling us how good Van Dyck and Mane are. Don't they think we know that??

Red cabbage is cooking away, dinner's all prepped and I'm just waiting for wine o'clock!:D

Thanks, beanie. The game went - oot the windae, as we say. ☹ maman , you seem to cope much better than I do in these circumstances! At least you are unlikely to have been in attendance today and can hide from MOTD. My retinas are scarred by what I saw!

Last time I did red cabbage in the SC it came out brown; most unappetising. It tasted ok, but I threw most of it away. What is your recipe, Denise and maman?

Better a half off than a half on, Midge.

Sorry you’ve not been at your best, TIE. Enjoy that loss.

greentiger - I use the recipe for red cabbage with apple from the SW website. I've just turned mine of so not sure it will be cool enough to put in the fridge before bed! It looks OK but seems a bit bland, don't think I did anything different but perhaps needs a bit more seasoning when it's used.

There's so few syns in it I tend not to syn it.
