Well I've put that pesky +1lbback on again.
Although I'm pretty surprised it wasn't more as I had a mad weekend food wise. My aunts brought all our favourite foods from home (mostly cake and biscuit based) and my Aunt from America brought all sorts of biscuits and cakes, those are shop bought and have long lives so luckily I can syn them, the stuff from Singapore is home made but I shall try my best to syn appropriately and just have a little bit until it's gone. Still it's so nice to taste it again!
I am on plan so far this week although my work schedule for the next couple of weeks involves me working 6 hrs with no break so no lunches, am ravenous once I've finished but have settled for a banana and an apple on the train home, so far so good.
Good luck at the weigh in Stoke

Thanks, bubbs, for the syns info. I’m with you on ignoring these changes. I don’t have them often anyway.

Well, at least you had a (partly) happy evening, maman.

That’s a scary and alarming tale re driving with dementia, Sunshine. Your mum will certainly not be the only person in that situation, I’m sure.

Hi, 1974Stephen. You definitely need fruit and veg.

Well, having got up at stupid o’clock this morning I forgot to WI again! I also forgot to take my medication too. Maybe tomorrow.

  • maman crazy isn't it! You could easily half the recipe and still have more than enough for 4 people, there's only me eats it here too! >.<

However... I am thrilled to report 1 jar of hidden veg pasta sauce is now empty! It's done 4 meals as predicted, one of them did involve hiding it in a chilli tonight ;) sneaky way to add more speed. I had to make the chilli other people friendly though so it was a bit bland, which I plan on fixing tomorrow, does mean I will have supplies of that to eat up too though... I really am living on leftovers this week! Might pop some in the freezer :money:

I've quite enjoying watching the drama about the muller lights on FB and Insta, the "well I'm not counting it", "if it worked before why not now" posts in our groups FB group are really making me :rotfl: . It's not that I have an issue with people doing that, my mums planning on doing it herself as she's lost 8 and a half stone and kept it off for 18 months having muller lights daily. BUT why tell your consultant, multiple times, on one facebook post...? Just do it quietly at home :shhh
(there is no eyerolling thingy in the smilies on here, and it's my most used one I'm struggling finding replacements!)

One positive from the syn change is the Danone skyr ones have only gone up half a syn so it's justifying buying those instead for me, they are my favourite!! If anyone is worrying about a syn free alternative Quark with sugar free squash tastes just like fruity yogurt and is syn free... people kept on about it so I tried it, it tastes fine, it's just a faff for something that tastes just like yogurt :undecided

I was supposed to be trying to be extra good now all the birthdays are out of the way but I'm failing, not awful, but not what was planned either though. I'm writing it here so I might do it.. Tomorrows aim is speed with every meal! and lots of water!

If I don't, I have to be good Thursday too... I know I shouldn't be planning for a day off but my boyfriend has just got back from Belgium, I'm seeing him Thursday, and he promised me chocolate :EasterBun
anything's possible if you've got enough nerve

That'll be good when you get to target. You can stay close to the bottom of the range with food choices and still have syns left to celebrate when Stoke are promoted back to the Premier League! :D;):rotfl:

Going to be waiting a while then. Might need a few syns before then otherwise i'll never eat a syn food again :D

Stoke let us know if you get one of these please, apparently everyone at group is getting them :D

Yep. I got one last night attached to a letter which I've not read yet. Stoke were at home so I only weighed in and went straight the game.

Another 2lbs off, taking my total weight loss to 5st 5lbs. 2 more pounds and I've reached my Slimming for Halloween target, I think, which was set at 7lbs. At this point, it's all but slowed to a crawl and any slip up will affect it, so I suspect target by Christmas is still a realistic objective. Still, it's mad to think I'm almost there :) Free weigh-ins, whoop!

You'll get there Stoke:). The last few pounds are always the hardest.:( Sadly, when you get to target, it's like losing those last few pounds permanently as you're always hovering in this 6lbs window. That's why I suggested avoiding quick fixes like cutting out syns. This has to be sustainable long term to keep you motivated and not feel deprived.

Like you, pixielottie, I find it hard to get aerated about Mullers but I do have some sympathy. Many people find it easier to stay on plan using some SW ready meals and snacking on Mullers. I know how they feel though. Last week I was cross about the pickles scare and I'll never forgive them for adding extra syns to wine!

I'm out for lunch today (5th meal out since Thursday and counting). I have to say that I find I fancy off plan food less and less. There was a time that I'd look longingly at the pie or battered fish on a menu but no longer. I've still to conquer chips and wine syns though! ;)

I've had my SW breakfast (overnight oats with berries) and if I'm hungry this evening I'll have something SW friendly so it'll be just the one meal today. After tomorrow evening I should have about a week to eat mostly on plan. I'm looking forward to it.:)

I'd stay in France if I were you denise. The weather's horrible today.:( Any SW friendly stuff that you're planning to bring back with you?

Thanks for this advice. I will simply have to work out a plan to ensure I can stay at target. Not there yet though :D

The weather isn't brilliant here either. Really windy although not cold. Still wearing t-shirt and shorts in the motorhome and just adding a cardi when I go out because of the wind.

Not bringing much SW friendly stuff home as it's much dearer here than at home, was going to buy some cherry toms this morning but they were €2.50 for a small punnet!

Bringing home some ham, cornichons, olives and various flavoured vinegars which are one of the few things which seem to be a bit cheaper than at home.

Amongst the non- SW friendly stuff is gin, pastis and various wines:D.
