  • Morning All,

Hope you got back to sleep Dizzy x

Been up since 5.30 and sent some work emails for DH. Today looks like this: school run, dog to groomers, aldi trip, quick charity shop mooch, back to school for lunch with DS, collect dog, cuppa with inlaws, back to school to collect DD at normal time, two extra kids coming for a sleepover, collapse with exhaustion around 11pm.

I best get tidying the kitchen now, have lovely days all xx

    Morning

Stupid busy day yesterday, but the result is that I am now only 1 full month behind at work and not the 2 months that I was this time yesterday. Hurrah!

I came home and made 2 chocolate cakes for DH (mentally adds "decorate cakes" to the looonnggg to do list for tomorrow), and stuck butter chicken in the sc. I have to say that it was quite nice to smell the dinner cooking while it rained down outside.

Back to job 1 today. Work there has tapered off atm. TBH, I'd prefer to go back to job 2 and be stupid busy but feel like I'm getting somewhere than be scratching around for jobs. Oh well, I might be able to sneak off early;)

    Have a fab Friday all.

ETA - good post earlier, HB. I need to get back to H2H, as I nearly cried yesterday searching for something in one of the RoD. Thank you x

Morning all. Pleased to say that the bruises are minimal and I hope to get out in the garden again today.

Drove for 1.5 hours each way yesterday to babysit DGS3+4 for 2.5 hours while their parents went to a posh do at the local RAF base. Worth every minute of the drive - the boys (5 and 3) are growing up so fast :)
Also decluttered lots more admin and took Rosie for a walk. She found something particularly disgusting to roll in, so I had to sluice her clean with (warm) water from the watering can. She was quite sorry for herself, especially when I told her that she was staying at home with DH (who was miserable with his hips and knees and decided the long drive wasn't going to help).

I am feeling old, as I have received my DVLC "Renew your driving licence if you will be 70 in the next 90 days" form. Do I really want to lose my entitlement to drive a minibus or vehicle with trailer if I renew online? Probably not bothered, but useful in emergencies...

    Today's list:
    - check finances
    - plan the teddy bear's picnic programme for Sunday
    - send 3 birthday cards
    - hang out Rosie's towel (washed overnight)
    - make about 6 phonecalls
    - order some business cards
    - draft a working agreement
    - finish tidying the back garden
    - prod DH to do two jobs that do not involve physical effort
    - possibly go out for lunch with my friend, in which case combine it with a visit to the GC
    - take Rosie for a long walk in the opposite direction to the yucky mess

Proper cleaning is on hold until next week. The bathroom and other main rooms are tidy, if not completely sparkly: DH won't notice, I can live with them, and I'm not expecting any visitors this weekend.

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all, especially Froddy and Lame Wolf xx

Grrrr....awake most of the night so far with a barking dog, who does NOT like being downstairs with the other riff raff.

Said mutt is currently on my bed snoring and I AM WIDE AWAKE.

Did I say the business was going well!?!?

I've been sleeping in the sitting room for over two years because Kelpie can't go upstairs and can't be left on his own. It's a 'thing.' I've got used to it now. Can't be doing with barking dogs.

Good to hear you're not to battered and brusied Ionafan. No, you don't want to lose the right to drive a minibus or pull a trailer, pain though it all is. Just in case I miss it, happy birthday when the time comes.

Much, much longer at the Foodbank than anticipated and I didn't finish it all, either, so nothing else got done yesterday. Grr. Off to an all day thing today, so I can't go back and do it today, either. Double Grr. First time for new dog sitter for Kelpie in preparation for an all day trip to London in October. I distinctly remember telling OH weeks ago I would be out all day on 20th frm 5.30 am to midnight, but his team is playing and as he's a season ticket holder .... Dog sitter booked and paid for. Triple Grr.
    Better is good enough.

Checked to see that I can still drive a small camper van (my dream for the future ;) though probably not for DH - he is too big to fit in one comfortably) on a normal car licence, so I will ditch the minibus and trailer options.

He had actually noticed that the kitchen floor was bitty, so offered of his own accord
to hoover through downstairs. I have therefore waved a fevver-onna-stick around and dislodged the worst of the dust :D

I must still prod him, though...

This is where we are fortunate to live in a bungalow; if I have a little oldie staying who needs nighttime company, they can have their bed in the bedroom with us. :o

Loft turfing out is continuing - *FLING FLING FLINGETTY FLING* As is kitchen turfing out, which in turn gives some space to re-home useful items from loft *FLIIIIIIIING*

    Bird food ordered.
Rest of text books catalogued for potential decluttering.
Dry clothes folded and put away.

Self care day today. Had a GP appointment finally. Finger joint has had it and they don’t do replacements. I have been referred to physio for my back. Sneaky really as doc said I had to choose which one I had gone with.

Went to cinema and for lunch with 1 of my 2 best friends.

    Dysoned ground floor
1 x wm done and dried outside
    Bathroom s&s
