We got our mortgage offer yesterday!!! So happy!!
  • Hi all,
I've been reading through this thread and just wanted some sort of confirmation, we have provided various documents which were required and have now got a valuation booked for 25th August, would you say that we are near enough being accepted for the mortgage offer?

I'd say so, they asked for loads of documents for me and my partner and after the valuation they asked for some final docs (likely to show not on furlough etc, we both never were) and then they offered.. Hopefully it's the same for you :)

Thank you! How long after valuation did you receive your offer?

Our valuation was done on the 5th June, offer came through 22nd June. They did down value our property slightly so may of been why a bit of a lengthy wait

Hoping to hear back with a decision by end of this month atleast. We had our offer accepted in June and then got declined by Halifax so applied with Pepper, just had enough of waiting & waiting

Not been on here in a while! Hope you had some good news either from them or elsewhere!
  • *****long post alert 🚨 *****
So on 29th Feb 2020 we reserved a lovely new build after speaking to MA who assured us we wouldn’t have any trouble obtaining a mortgage. Our mortgage application was going well with Kensington then came along COVID so everything stood still, no response from anyone and even out MA was furloughed!!
Then in June we were told we had been unsuccessful, so the lady from the development suggested we find a better MA and go through a company called Bluestone. Again everything was going well but then in September we were told we needed a new lot of pay slips with my new higher salary. Unfortunately the developer wasn’t willing to wait any longer however we were allowed to reserve a newer, bigger (more expensive) house. Roll on to the 1st January and we are now submitting a new application but this time it is with Pepper Money!!
To say I’m exhausted is an understatement 😂
I don’t know why my MA has changed mortgage lenders but here we are.
I’m with my advisors pre-underwriting team and have submitted everything except out 3 years mortage payments - I have requested these today.
Anyway as I have looked for reviews I can’t find any recent ones so was looking for recent experiences with Pepper
  • Hi all!
We have been having a nightmare - I have a default on my credit file that's just over a year old, plus two late phone bill payments from 2020 (three days late both times) so obviously couldn't get a high street lender to even look at us. We have been really focusing on our finances for a while now. We were given a DIP from Pepper, have now sent over all the documents and additional information they've asked for, the valuation has been done, we are now absolutely crapping ourselves!!!! Offer accepted on a house worth £406,000 (valued at same price) and are waiting for our independent survey results to come back - I'm so anxious. Guess I'm just convinced they'll decline us because we've been turned down everywhere else. It's been a long road. We have a large deposit, my husband has really good credit, it's me that has the dodgy history. We both have good secure jobs and a decent income, I just really really hope we get some good news at some point, we've spent so much money already on solicitors etc etc, anyone else in a similar boat right now with Pepper? Honestly, this is nail biting stuff. The agents are all over my case, it's been about two months. Actually potentially a little longer. Wondering what other questions they may come back with?! Anyway, just nervously venting here!!! Thanks!!
