  • Yes its great! Finally stopped stressing out! :)
Ohhh no, such a silly mistake! We had to change advisor during the process... previous one was good but only in normal cases... nearly lost this property because of him ...😒
I know the feeling,  was exactly the same! Hopefully you'll get yours soon too. Is property you're buying chain free or not?
  • Does anyone know if Pepper do electronic valuations rather than physical? We have an application in progress with them which includes a free valuation but as it's a remortgage rather than a purchase will they do a full physical evaluation?

It will be a full valuation as far as I am aware.

  • We're still waiting for completion date.  Our solicitors are waiting for pepper to get back to them regarding some referral (something to do with restrictions on deed?) Wondering how long it's going to take...we're hoping to move end of October
  • @dociabmw4 hope you don’t mind me asking but have you had a completion date yet? We had our offer just over a week ago so wondering when we’ll expect to hear anything

If you have an offer, the rest of the process is in the hands of the solicitors. They will be doing the searches, enquiries etc. Typically I would say to allow around 6 weeks from offer to looking at a completion date.

Hi Bailey282, I don't have my competition date yet. We're waiting for Pepper to reply to solicitors (nearly a month now). Its only because they're restriction on house We're hoping to buy... its ex council house.. and current owner hasn't been there for long enough... I wish Pepper was replying faster though!
  • Been reading this thread for last couple of weeks and reading everyone's experiences and hoping we'd have some luck. Sorry for long post!!!!

So we found a house placed an offer in April got accepted got DIP and began process our MA was useless I was forever chasing him and he kept messaging promising to update and just didn't! A friend of mine recommended her MA and we started a new process with him he found us one and told the other advisor we were using someone else. So we were all ready to put in full mortgage application but my husband got furloughed from work for two weeks so mortgage company wanted him back at work for at least 5 weeks showing pay before they'd process application, we spoke with estate agents to explain and were happy to wait. After he was back at work we sat with MA done full mortgage application we were accepted and seemed pretty much like a done deal that was end of June! Company then took weeks then asked for additional information sent it then another week or so would go by and they'd ask for more!! I have adverse credit but all bar one of my debts are paid off and haven't had any new credit in the last 3 years. They came back and said they were changing amount they were willing to offer and wanted a 30% deposit 😲 they asked for letters from companies I had adverse credit with to prove they were paid even though I'd sent emails that I'd received but they wouldn't accept these!! MA decided to switch to pepper money got DIP within a day full mortgage application put in and then the additional information was needed. I had one creditor that I was paying an agreement to,  pepper money said cos of this they wouldn't process application, I began to panic thinking after 5 months of ups and downs and our poor MA spending hours we weren't going to get anywhere! He said they'd be willing to review if I paid it off and gave information on the reasons why I had the debt, I did this but also sent an email to the area manger of pepper money for my area explaining as well and the fact we Currently pay £130 more a month in rent at the moment than we would for the mortgage so know we can more than comfortably keep up with mortgage payments. This worked and our application was back on track they asked for one more bit of information then today I had a call from mortgage advisor dreading something else had gone wrong but he said underwriting fully complete and valuation instructed as long as that's ok they will make the mortgage offer! I actually cried I know we aren't over the line yet but its looking promising and after all the lows during last 5-6 months we are so pleased!!!! Fingers crossed it runs smoothly now and we can get in before Xmas!! As all searches are back to solicitors now as well!! So should be quick once offer is made! Good luck to everyone else!! 😊
  • Hey all!

Finally received our offer 13/10 - Pepper were so smooth! Turn around time from application was 3 weeks with the biggest delay caused by me with submitting docs.

We are using our own solicitor and they have their own to represent them. Wondering how long this can take overall? Our searches are already back, and the title deed is being drafted up. Fingers crossed it happens quick! Want to exchange asap

Hi, how long did your offer take to come in the post? We supposedly had our application approved a week Friday just gone but still nothing in the post?? MA is chasing it up today but he’s very slow. Our valuation was in July and we’ve been back and fore with them for so long!! Hoping it would have been here by now??
