I just had a reply from them:
“To be eligible for the Cash Reward account each month you need to pay in at least £1200 per month by 6pm on the last business day of the month.

I note from your account that the funds were transferred to your account on Saturday 27/02/2021 which was after this cut-off time therefore no reward was applied.”

My fault, but 1st time it’s happened, it just happened to be a weekend day, so I missed the cut-off day.

Posting this here for a reminder for anyone else.

Just had notification from Danske that from 1st September 2022 there will be changes to the cash reward account...

    - Reward reduced from £7 to £5
    - Min pay in reduced from £1200 to £1000
    - New requirement to make at least 8x debit card transactions per month
    - Account fee remains at £2 per month

Just seen the email too, what a shame.

£3 for 8 debit card transactions is doable providing paying my credit card bill counts.

I imagine it'll be quite similar to the Halifax Reward account requirement. As long as it is a cleared debit card transaction it should count, unless they specifically specify transaction types that don't count. I can't see them stopping you from making 8 x £1 transactions to pay off your credit card each month for example.

Edit: summary of the terms from their website here:

I've  got to get past the debit card application too... I've gamed the reward solo & joint from first launch, but don't ever remember seeing the jt debit card, so I have to apply.

I'd never used the debit card before but knew I had it.  I did a test transaction online as I wasn't sure if it would prompt for OTP or use that horrendous Dansk ID app.  Transaction for £1 went through with no OTP or confirm in app required.  If I can do eight in a row like that it will only take a couple of minutes and that's worth £3 to me.

Although I've never used Danske bank before, whenever I've made loads of £1 deposits to my NS&I account using TSB or Natwest the first 5 go through fine, then the 6th requires verification. I imagine it'll probably ask you for a OTP or app verification after about 5 payments so if I were you I'd do 4 in one go, then do the other 4 a couple of hours later.
