Has anyone come up with a way to automate 8x debit card transactions per month? I did manage to set up my Chip account to pull from my Danske debit card 8 times during a month, but Chip are soon introducing fees which will make this not cost effective.
Set up an automatic payment of £1 per day using your Danske debit card to Amazon gift card on 1st of month. Do this easily via Amazon website. On the 9th or 10th of the month, cancel the automatic payment and then set it up again on the first day of the next month. Just remember to leave around £10 (safety margin) plus £2 for the monthly fee taken at the end of the month in Danske account at the start of the month when you're doing the monthly £1000 payment in and out. After 6 months you have £48 to spend on Amazon, which most people (?) would be spending anyway.

An interesting suggestion but it's hardly automated as you have to login to Amazon twice every month and click a few buttons. It probably takes about the same time as just doing 8 debit card transactions to pay credit card/savings account etc.

It also means you have to be a spender at Amazon. Not everybody buys from them.

You could just leave it running every day and accept that you're putting £20-23 a month in to Amazon credit over what is needed.

I aim to get 5% off face value when I buy Amazon credit, so it'd be a lazy tax of a little more than a quid a month. Still worth it if you'd otherwise miss the £3.
oh, please do share where you can get Amazon credit with 5% off face value!

    Thanks!

Gift cards purchased from retailers offering cashback via on card cashback schemes, such as Airtime Rewards.

    YMMV

Anyone received the £5 reward yet?  I think it's normally paid on the first working day of the month but I could be wrong.

I took a closer look at my 8 debit card "purchases" for September and noticed they have been automatically categorised by Dankse as a mixture of "cash withdrawal" and "uncategorised" so I am not sure that I will receive the reward bonus.

On the plus side, it's another account I can close/switch and remove from my banking admin duties.

Not sure about your DC categorisation - mine is showing cash w/d & 'other expense', but they don't pay the reward on non working days - ie May 1 was a Sunday and the reward was paid on the 3rd. On that benchmark it would be the 4th this month, but maybe today.

    £5 reward now received!

This means that 8 small payments towards a credit card balance does qualify for the reward
