Yes, the blocked window is a "feature" .....as is the reclaimed brick effect . They are both a nod to Georgian properties which are quite common in the historical part of Lincoln. There is actually another windowcill feature on the top floor.
Would it possible to put a window in......there is already a lintel on the ground floor one.......although that might only be for show. If i were considering buying the house that is something I would investigate because then the exterior of the house would be more symmeticrial and more pleasing to the eye. Although it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. If that's not possible then I would be planting ivy or a nice flowering climbing shrub against that section of the wall.
I agree the exterior could be improved with some judicious planting......the aforementioned ivy or flowering plants up the wall, window boxes or hanging baskets. Compared with the nice porticos on the other houses the entrance definitely needs to be improved. I would suggest potted bay trees either side of the door to make more of a "statement". You can take them with you when you move.
The garden is small and doesn't feel private although the wrap around effect is nice (if you disguised the bins). A wooden bin store is cheap enough. Currently the garden just looks completely unloved and neglected but with a bit of TLC it could be very pretty. I would be planting a couple of small pretty trees against the fence and adding privacy panels to the top of the fences. Maybe a mirror on the fence to cheat the eye into making the garden look bigger. There's lots you can do to make it a really attractive outside space.
I agree, despite the square footage, I'm not sure it is a family house, quite apart from the small garden, the dining area is really too small for a family. I think it is more likely to appeal to downsizers, young couples, professional singletons.
I think it's a very nice house, immaculatey presented. The master suite is fab.....love the dark blue feature wall.
I am sure you just need to be patient and wait for the "Autumn Bounce". Traditionally September and October when the market gears up again.

Houses are not liquid assets.
I am selling a flat and someone who wants exactly what I'm selling is interested and the rest of the chain is just falling into place.
Nothing special about our flat, just seems to fall into place.
