This is in no way an admission and has made me determined to fight the claims for the remaining [STRIKE]seven[/STRIKE] eight PCNs, all of which have no 'legitimate interest' excuse and no contract was agreed.

  • Do I get hubby to actually sign the letter, or can i post with just his name added at the bottom?

only ask as I've read elsewhere advice not to physically sign letters. Not sure if this one of those kind of letters?

YOU can squiggle some old scribble as if it's his signature!

Just post it first class and ask for a free certificate of posting. Keep that stapled to a copy of the letter.

If the parking company does not sign for the letter, they have proof of non-delivery and you have no proof of delivery.

Chortle at the very idea of throwing a wasted fiver at Special delivery! NO.

You trot to your local PO and get a free Certificate of Posting.

  • Finally received a reply to the letter you helped me construct, see below, how do we now proceed from here?

“Thank you for your correspondence dated 31 August 2018. We have reviewed this matter, and can you confirm the charges outlined in our letter before claim are the only ones referred to us for legal proceedings by our client at this stage.

In the event proceedings are to commence on other charges incurred by you, they will be issued with a new reference in our system and therefore a separate quote reference number.

Notwithstanding the above, we invite you to make full payment of the outstanding sum before 25 November 2018. In the event payment is not made, we will proceed with our client’s current instructions in this matter to issue a claim without further correspondence.”
