believe us when we say , the MCOL that he completed WAS, repeat , WAS , the defence

so what was asked is what he wrote in the defence box, or what he emailed them as his "defence"

normally it would and should be legal arguments, sounds like he put a witness statement in the defence box, which then counts as his "defence"

I dont think you have appreciated this "defence" section, so need to be more in tune with the words as legal terminology

what he wrote was his "defence" , even if neither you nor he thought so

what we really want is a copy and paste of those actual words, not a summary

...and if he can't remember what he wrote in the Defence box, phone the CCBC and ask them to email a copy of the completed form to you.

Except this OP can't ring the CCBC as they are a stranger to the case.

    Only Dad can ring.

They can do it if a) Dad is there and b) Dad tells CCBC that the person has authority to speak.

AFAIK people like CAB do it all the time.

Yes that would be fine and I've done that before myself.

I assumed the OP lives in another house and I didn't want them wasting their time thinking they can just phone up without Dad there to consent. It is pretty obvious but some people on this forum, for some reason, do not twig that they can't just phone a company about someone else's account, etc.

Yes, yes, C-m. We know that and the OP knows that.

    Thanks Keith.

Perhaps the OP could get his dad to start on the process of gathering information using a Subject Access Request and then we could guide him to put in a strong WS on his behalf. Sometimes UKCPM paperwork is not up to scratch with regards to Keeper Liability as this will a key issue as well as signs/contract.

If the son could get pics of the signs at the car park, that would be useful too.

In post #10 you told us:

When you have completed the form, file it with the court as follows:

    1) Scan the signed document and save it as a pdf.
    2) Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    3) Just put the claim number and the words Defendant's Directions Questionnaire in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my DQ attached'.

Don't forget to send a copy to the Claimant.

form sent to court but i am unable to locate an email for gladstones would you suggest posting a copy to them ?

    Hello

    this is what he wrote
    Hi

I RECENTLY SENT A LETTER TO GLADSTONE SOLICITORS IN REGARDS TO A
PENALTY PARKING FINE ISSUED TO ME. I HAVE NOT YET RECIEVED
A RESPONSE FROM THEM IN REGARDS TO MY DEFENCE. THEY HAVE ALSO
ISSUED THE COURT CLAIM TO ME RATHER THAN MY DAUGHTER WHEN SHE WAS THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME IN QUESTION.

this is what was written in the defence section

I understand peoples frustrations at this but i am trying to rectify this as much as possible. What my father thought was helping hasn't done but i am now trying to just do what i can to rectify the error.

also i have previously stated here that i spoke to the court on his behalf and spoke with them over the phone so some of the comments are a little unwarranted as we aren't all familiar with the processes or deal with these issues on a daily basis
