Yeah, missed that! When you edit a post on this 'new' forum, no spellchecks or highlights show up in the post and that one would have been missed anyway.

Thanks to you all again. Since my post yesterday, I noticed they sent the same letter by email to the address I used 6 months ago.
I'll send the reply as per CM suggests tomorrow. Should I post hard copy too?0 -
Should I post hard copy too? That would cover most bases, why not? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I'd say morons are smarter than a PPCwaamo said:Ouch. Odds of court http://www.parkingappeals.info/companydata/Private_Parking_Solutions_London.html
This lot likes to issue claims. I think your letter could have been clearer too. It's not moron friendly which it needs to be when communicating with a ppc.
I would send another one spelling out you had already sold the car. Use language a child would understand.

Finally, thanks to all your advice and far too much unnecessary effort on my part, Grabstones have given up chasing me.
A letter arrived yesterday, 2 years and 4 months after the first "ticket", confirming that the parking charges will be re-directed to the new owner.
Bless you all.
How do I give thanks on the forum?4 -

You can thank by reporting Gladstones to the SRA. Sadly too many people are not taking action. I have just received a long response from the SRA saying they are now sending someone into the firm. I have been messaging for months as I am sure have the regulars. It needs everyone reading who has been affected to take the time to write. I have been involved with Gladstones during the past year and cannot understand why it has taken so long to get the SRA to go into their premises and stop this abuse. For the benefit of the newbies, Gladstones is John Llewelyn Gladstone Davies and also Will Hurley of the IPC (though he has since resigned they have many connected companies). They profit from the parking companies membership fees and do everything possible to ensure their Code of Practice means an appeal against a PCN will not fail. They chase PCNs and profit again from legal fees and most registered keepers simply give in and pay - understandable when you see the pages and pages of aggravation fighting them.Report@sra.org.uk
The complaint does not have to be perfect - just complain !6 -

How do I give thanks on the forum? Many moons ago i received a private parking charge, not sure on what it was, and in a panic i foolishly paid it.Some time after that i received two more (!!) this time round i did a little bit of research, and found this place, mugged up on private parking charges and managed to see those two parking charge notices off, not much longer after that i hung around on here, and was amazed at how prolific these private parking charges were, and unfortunately still are.I paid a PPC once, i made a mistake and now to get back i will try and help others not to make the same error that i did all that time ago.So the best way to give thanks is to stick around, take a look at whats going off, and when you feel confident offer some advice back, theres a heavy workload on here no one gets paid for the advice and help, and any extra help is welcome especially if it helps to reduce the PPCs income stream, or even better remove them (PPCs) permanently from car parksFrom the Plain Language Commission:
