However the solicitor said it won't get that far because dvla has nothing on me and my evidence is overwhelming good, I have good references and medical exam every year because I work for Cancer research
So you mean pay for one medical.0 -

In that case you have no idea what a 'discussion' is. Despite numerous people telling you otherwise you seem to think that you are right.
Will leave you to it.0 -
DVLA Refunds the £90but not the medical you take, fail or pass.
I passed the medical and they want me to pay for another one despite I passed it0 -
If you bothered to read the response I have made, I am NOT appealing the decision now! I am reapply for £90 but refuse to pay for a medical because I passed there last one and even if I did who is to say they could still fail me on the grounds of my medical records over a decade ago?
I would be fine doing a medical if they tske their own advice and results and assume the worst of me.
Plus they didnt handle the appeal case properly at all.0 -
You are on about taking them to court which would be the action to take if you wish to appeal.
I can't see it being the correct way to go if you simply refuse to pay for a medical and then try to get the court to review a decision that hasn't been made.
By all means see if your solicitor can assist by writing a letter but I suspect all this will achieve is an additional cost to you.0 -

You are completely missing the point and don't understand
If you bothered to read the response I have made, I am NOT........
What you mean? I am not on here to seek. Advice but ....
Buf whatever kid make judgment but you weren't there....
Yeah yeah that what anyone would say but you was not in the situation that I was in and you can sit there and say "I wouldn't of done it" but you don't know that when have alcohol in you and a gang want to beat you up.

I do feel sorry for you.
Naughty barriers.
If only there was some way to avoid issues brought on by driving illegally while intoxicated.
It really is a stumper.0 -
Every now and then someone comes on here ostensibly looking for advice, but whatever anyone says, they will disagree and say they will do what they have already decided to do.
You have decided to play the martyr. You would rather bankrupt yourself with lawyer's fees than simply apply for your licence again through the normal process.
You have missed the window to appeal. You have missed the window to sue them for damages. The DVLA may even have destroyed the original records by now. Any court case is likely to be futile. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Op just pay up and get your license back, or go work in Southern Ireland and get a license over there. At least you can then come back to the UK and drive legally for 10 years.
Whatever your choice, it will cost you.Never Knowingly Understood.

If the OP holds an Irish ("Southern Ireland"...?) licence, then they can currently drive here until it expires, no limit on time.
Things may change in March, of course.0
