Morning all :hello: sending hugs and good wishes to everyone. Hope you manage some sleep 1LL

I'm WFH today but have the smalls and some things I need to do:
Pack bags for school tomorrow, label some new uniform
Make packed lunch for us all for tomorrow
    Peg some washing out
    Triage fridge
Update menu plan, continue to purge the freezer (have managed to use 5 flatbreads, 5 bread thins and some protein muffins over the weekend)
Small list for shop to tide us over to next week re used envelope to write it
Quick tidy round to keep on top of things
Check bullet journal I wrote several lists in last night, see if I can get ahead with anything for September
Obviously do some work at some point :rotfl:
Make a cake/biscuits for packed lunches this week

not so bad so far, lemon drizzle cake made using frozen zest from when I'd only used the juice of lemons, a dozen hm sausage rolls and 2 cherry and almond 'tarts. One load of washing in, 1 bed stripped and 3 loads sorted for later. Also disinfected a washing basket and put outside to dry. Baked 2 sweet potato that were on their last legs whilst oven was on. Will see what else whilst I'm on a roll....
  • Morning everyone :)

Not been on for a few days had a weekend with my family :) which was nice.

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed the BH.

Looking at the weather today I think it'll be a chilled day at home with my little boy, saves money I suppose!! Out to SW tonight though so that'll be £5 but will just have to resist buying anything while there.

    So list for today:
    - Washing on 40
    - Housework
    - Check bank accounts (payday!!)
    - Update spreadsheet
    - Make spreadsheet for Sept
    - FPL
    - Check mystery shops
    - Send childcare paperwork into HB (should have done this ages ago - woops)
    - Delete at least 200 emails (over 3000 in inbox!!!!)
    - Enter at least 1 survey
    - Check freebies
    - Sort out clothes for charity bag
    - Food from stores
    - Meal plan for the week

So looks like I've got a long list today haha.
Hope you all have a good day :D

  • Good morning :coffee: from lovely and relaxed surroundings in the Lakes. Just sitting with a cuppa and deciding whether or not to have a dip in the hot tub before I start properly for the day. We are heading off to spend the day at Windermere - the kids finally found something that they wanted to do so we'll be heading off in a couple of hours.
We had our day out around Kendal yesterday - I definitely hadn't been there before - none of it was familiar.
Not lots to report - we went to Mr S and stocked up rather than eating out and I'm hoping to get the kids to eat before we go so we can just snack while we're out (hopeful).
Have a fantastic day everyone, and 1LL I really hope that you managed to get some sleep in the end.

Thanks all, I did end up with 3hrs and 39 minutes sleep according to my f!tbit  Today will be powered by :coffee: I think! Probably good that I'm seeing my friend later as the kids will entertain each other and we can have a proper catch up.

My kids are up but niece and sis aren't yet, I know my sis was tossing and turning throughout the night so will leave her as long as I can but I also need a shower but I know it sounds really loud through the wall to where she is. Ah well its a good excuse to come on here and drink my coffee whilst I wait.

    Welcome back Katy_ann.

Ah pants - they are no help are they, I stopped Child/Family tax credits because it felt like on year they were paying me and the next year i was paying them. We tried for the UC as we rent and its really expensive, we got Child Benefit and a little bot of the child tax credit £30 and some housing element.

I have been selling loads on Ebay too to try and pay off some of my debt, I have had a proper clear out - it feels good

    Hi August-Austerees,

Evening!:coffee:Still my weekend. Still under a literal and metaphorical rain-cloud.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    THINGS I WILL DO:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Take medication. Done.

    * Turn alarm clock off at the wall til tonight. Done.

    * Get some exercise. Done. Walked along Loch Lomond.

    * Check DW's online banking. Done.

    * Pay day. Dealt with.

    * Have a day out. Went to the Aquarium. Didn't go yesterday when it was 50% dearer. Also put it through TopCashBack. Took a packed lunch and a flask. Did not spend £3 on a guidebook. Did not buy plastic crap in the gift shop.

Things don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.

    Hi Tuesday Savers,
A slightly better night's sleep which helped me feel more up to tackling today.
*Free fitness cycling into town & back.
*Good budgetary behaviour while in town. 1 thing to do & 3 things to buy and I didn't deviate at all from that list.
*Big batch cooking session to make the most of our home grown produce.
    *Rubber chicken duties.
    *Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Use-it-ups - managed a last hair wash by swilling shampoo bottle out with warm water. Started using up another final 'third' of a lippy by digging in with a lipbrush.
*Update my dfw diary - just about to do.
*Finish current knitting project (it was gifted yarn).
*2 baths from 1 lot of hot water. I am planning a bit of a household 'energy blitz' in September.
Really looking forward to watching 'Bake-off'. It's not like me to feel so sad & worried all the time but things are very difficult with Mum and little opportunities to try & think about something else are very important.
    Love to all,

  • Morning 1LL - wow I don't know how you're going to get by on no sleep! hope you're able to get some rest!

1LL madam has just now got into watching films :j before now she didn't have the concentration. Over the last few days we've watched Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2 :money: bring on the free fun!

Today we have a busy day as have dentist in the next town over at 8.50 - it's a new dentist. Feeling sad about leaving my old one, she has been amazing but can't afford the fees.

Dropping pup off on way - I totally adore him but will be good to have a few days break!

Then we'll go into town to get madam's shoes and back to school bits

As well as all that I intend to:
    [STRIKE]
    * pay off cc & send oh a text with details of the cost of the holiday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* now budget is finalised I can put some of my lo wages into long term savings [/STRIKE]:D A bit of a stretch this month but I can always take it out if I need to!
[STRIKE]* I'll have lo shepherds pie when we get home for lunch [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* hang washing on the line - forecast is cloudy but dry[/STRIKE] and have put it all away :A another load in machine. Need to check forecast and if it looks ok tomorrow set the timer
    * move tomato plants in to greenhouse and hope the blasted tomatoes ripen!
    * a bit of sorting out the garden
    * sewing - want to hem my dress! Didn't manage to do any last night as I wasn't feeling right. Hoping today I feel better otherwise it'll be hard with all the running around I'm doing!haven't done this. Still have dodgy tummy. Did do some ironing though!
    * more sorting out finances - need to update my gc spends - we are going over our food budget each month :(
[STRIKE][STRIKE]* take library books back and get new ones - do reading with madam[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* bring house plants in now summer seems to officially be over[/STRIKE]

Ok that seems enough. Hope you all have a good day :A

Feeling pleased with what I've achieved today. As well as the above I have:

    * purchased crisps and chocolate in £shop - 20/25p a packet/bar rather than 70p + if I grabbed one on it's own when I get a fancy :cool:
    * took madam for a McD and used a full bean card for free coffee and ate a banana while she ate :A
    * didn't buy a dress I liked the look of for £40. Came home and found a couple of others I like on fleabay instead ;)
    * today was a use up day so I had 3 lots of los (B/L/D) madam had lo meatballs and rice :money:
    * got madam's bits for school/autumn clothes
    * she fell over this morning and got a hole in her leggins which I'm about to repair. Will do for knocking around. A shame as a nice pair of leggings!

Ok that'll do. Am going to go and have a bath & read my book I think. Wish my stomach would hurry up and feel better!

    Evening all :)
    ((Hugs)) Foxgloves
Hope you feel better soon DNMS!

Been working hard for my business today, and as it mainly involved carrying boxes about, I think it will count as free fitness as well!
Totally restocked my sales unit, all new items in, and most of the 'old' stuff back home, but a lot more went in than came out, so that is good! A couple of things sold straight away :)
On the less positive front, I sold an ebay item and can't find it anywhere  Had to apologise to the buyer and issue a refund - most annoying for both of us!

    Apart from that:
Washed hair and allowed to dry naturally :)
    HG blueberries for breakfast :)

Put business stock I bought back from the shop upstairs - still need to put it away properly, but after carrying it from the shop to the car, and then from the garage at the bottom of the garden to the house and up 2 flights of stairs, I didn't want to see it again for a while :rotfl:
Spent ages looking for missing ebay item :(

    Checked banks and updated spreadsheet
Not spent anything (except for a couple of direct debit bills that went out today)
Minimal cooking - I made several things yesterday and we just had some of those, with veg / salad! Used HG spring onions and radishes in the salad :)
Just about to blanch a big pile of French beans for freezing, and then I think I will be done for today! We are looking after GD tomorrow, as her mum is returning to work after maternity leave, so I am not expecting to get much done - have promised a picnic at a local attraction where we have membership, so at least not likely to be a spendy day :)
