Thanks for all your kind thoughts & wishes. I am feeling so stressed. While I am obviously still hoping for the best with Mum, it's clear that we also now need to be preparing for the worst. I don't want to go into details, as it's a bit unusual & could identify me, iyswim.

oh foxgloves so sorry to hear this. Still hoping for a turn around for you all xAnyway, after another crappy night of very little sleep, I decided I needed to get busy, so have tackled my monthly Big Budget Day. A useful day on the money saving front, really:
*Reconciled Aug budget & set September's.

we're MSE twinsalthough I haven't been able to fully set Sept budget as haven't fully worked out the cost of our week away - I do know however that camping in the rain in Devon = EXPENSIVE!

Dnms, Thank you for the new thread, hope you had a nice day with the puppy.
HK, I hope you are doing ok too, just read your post from yesterday. :grouphug:
Foxgloves, Sorry to hear that your mum is so very poorly, thinking of you.
Dawn, Your food always sounds scrummy
Lydia, Welcome to the thread
Ziggy, Hope your ds is feeling better.
CCl, Hope you're having a lovely time away.
Ally, Well done on your 25 miles in August, I miss running, I found it good for my MH.
Thrice, All those extra little things like taking lunches/breakfast/surveys etc definitely help
PF, Family movie on the sofa is one of my favourite things to doThis weekend we've watched Jumanji (twice!) Valerian and Paddington
Well here in the LuckyHousehold we still have my sis & niece (I'm taking them home tomorrow - will a few meals that will just need reheating as she's still not 100%) so its been another busy day of making cups of tea, prepping meals and generally pottering about. (I did get out for an hour as I went to the gym to do a class this morning whilst they were all still in bed (only my 6th class in the 5 weeks of school holidays so far so I found it very tough!) )
So my small things today have been
* all meals from stores
* refilled water bottle at the gym
* prepped rm survey that i need to post tomorrow
* got some food out of the freezer ready for tomorrow - not updated my list yet though
* shared bath water
I've got quite a lot to do tomorrow and not a lot of time to do it as we are seeing a friend and their kids for the afternoon which I am really looking forward to. Be nice to be out and be distracted and not worrying about sis or dh for a bit.

Morning all,
Its daft o'clock but I went to bed around Midnight and gave up at around 1am. So I've already done a couple of things so I may as well post my list up now. After posting I'm going to tackle the frog thats been hanging around far too long - dh's pension stuff.
My list is a bit of a repeat of Fridays as when I got the call about my sis very little got done.
So on to todays listSwitch dss alarm clock off at the wall to save on the electicity - it quickly resets once switched on again Done
Fill in the forms ready to take the the new surgery next month
B /L/D from stores
Make dh's lunch for tomorrow
Get paperwork together for one of dh's pensions, this has turned into a frog - been on the list all week I WILL DO THIS TODAY! Done, well I've done my part off getting the paperwork together, just need dh to actually do what he needs to do with it now.
Check banking/update spreadsheet Done
General tidy round for as long as the kids are happily playing
Dig out a thank you card from stash to take up to the gp surgery. Done and wrote the card, made me feel quite emotional as this gp has looked after us since before the kids and he always made you feel like he had all the time in the world for you and yours.
Order repeat prescriptions for him and ds - just incase it takes longer to get sorted at the new surgery to get set up.
Rm survey to post
Prep next weeks rm surveys Done, although one cube needs sellotaping up which I can't do as my niece is sleeping in that room as its 3am!
Check yougov/onepoll/isay for surveys
Share bath water and continue use ups of lotions and potions
Ring hospital to make appointment for MRi on my knee, I'm at the top of the list now the letter that came on Saturday said.
Hopefully I'll be adding more as the day goes on

Good morning everyone, I’m aware I keep coming and going here but this time I really need to stay! After becoming debt free I swore I would never get into debt again, yet here I am.
My self and my husband are finding it so difficult for money at the moment, he works full time, I’m only working part time 2 nights a week (approx 9 hours a week) at the moment due to childcare.
So silly me, applied for a credit card to help us get by, it’s been used for food shopping, prescriptions, LOs clothing/shoes and now it’s just got a bit out of hand. It’s not a massive amount of debt at £940 but it’s debt I didn’t wish was there and will take me a long time to clear it whilst I’m in this boat!
So I’m back here, for good and to work my absolute hardest to shift this debt for good this time!
Today OH is back at work after the BH, I need to clean my flat and post some EBay parcels that sold. I’ll also be keeping a good eye on LO as he was sick just after I put him to bed last night but has been fine the rest of the night!
Today I will also;
- Wash LO bedding
- Clean bathroom and living room
- All meals from home
- Swagbucks
- Post items on EBay/FB selling page
- Look for a way to sell my laptop which doesn’t involve a thousand complete weirdos messaging me from Gumtree!
- Do basically anything I can in order to make some money! Will be fine tooth combing the challenges and forum for ideas!
- Work 6pm-10pm
Hope everyone has a lovely dayTake care all x

* move tomato plants in to greenhouse and hope the blasted tomatoes ripen!
* a bit of sorting out the garden
* sewing - want to hem my dress! Didn't manage to do any last night as I wasn't feeling right. Hoping today I feel better otherwise it'll be hard with all the running around I'm doing!haven't done this. Still have dodgy tummy. Did do some ironing though!

Nat
Yes I’ve checkedWe are not entitled as my OH earns over the limit, living where we do is so expensive, the only government help we get is the standard child benefit

Thanks DNMS
I spent last night crying with my kids because my eldest is going to university in 2 weeks - think it finally hit us all and we go really upsetWe've been Uni shopping this week so its turned to excitement
I have washing on and dishes 2 jobs done - spend the weekend purging my living room I feel cleansed, it looks lovely, I even found cushion pads and covers in the airing cupboard and made it all cosy its already a mess again
I have 34 active eB*y items (4 with bids) and 4 parcels to post
[STRIKE]I have a lady coming to pick up a kids workbench I sold yesterday on FB Market for £15 [/STRIKE] done

Pay a fine hubby got parking on a yellow box
water my plants
tidy the kitchen
do more laundry ongoing
[STRIKE]take daughter uni shopping once she gets paid[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Pack away all the cheap xmas pressies i've been stocking up [/STRIKE] done
checked banking and everything is looking fine
Got to get ready for husbands self employment interview on Thursday with Job Centre - about Universal Credit hubby was considered no gainfully self-employed, they have given him time to work on his business and we are eligible for UC, which is amazing we've never ben entitled to benefits before I spent 9 years supporting us on my own while he was off work with depression
[STRIKE]I have to get some boxes down from the attic for my daughter to go through - might do some sorting while i am up there, its full of old boxes and junk - I hate the attic its scary and smelly [/STRIKE]lol done
Nat
Adding to this, got to go to Lakeland to pick up some foil pie tins, ned to find some paper bags cheap online for event on Saturday.
Need to go shopping for buffet tomorrow
Got £15 to pay into bank

Ah pants - they are no help are they, I stopped Child/Family tax credits because it felt like on year they were paying me and the next year i was paying them. We tried for the UC as we rent and its really expensive, we got Child Benefit and a little bot of the child tax credit £30 and some housing element.
I have been selling loads on Ebay too to try and pay off some of my debt, I have had a proper clear out - it feels good
