Went to the library yesterday and took out a load of books on mindfulness, cbt and relaxation. Going to try and kick this anxiety! I don't want medication if I can avoid it.

Don't blame you, medication makes you put on weight and feel like a zombie. I would take medication if I felt suicidal, but other than that I'd rather try and get better with positive thinking etc.

I do rate CBT, and exercise and healthy eating make a massive difference to the mood.

I've had medication before and they can be really helpful, but I'd like to try and do it myself. I definitely don't need to put on any weight!

I've finished one book, and already can feel a slight difference, particularly in my awareness.

A few more sales today :T Most have paid up too so that's nice.

DH is covering half term this week, and I've got a crazy busy week at work ahead. At least I should bank some flexi hours.

Roll on payday, it's been a long month.

Gosh it's flipping cold here this morning! As usual, the heating at work isn't working. It never works in the cold  somewhat ironic!

Isn't there a legal minimum working temperature at work? I hope you can warm, up. It's cold here too. I'm wearing fingerless gloves and wrapped in a blanket at the moment .

    Hello jwil!

You're back. I'm so sorry for all the stress you've had. You know we ALL get it 100%. Of course you're going to have arguments and having to spend all the money would stress you out. Be positive - you had the money to fix it - you haven't had to let the house fall down. You did well jwil. Really well. And you talked it over with DH and fixed it. You both love each other enough to keep going. That's much better than so many others.

I think no one works well on poor sleep. The new mattress has got to be a priority. Do the annoying trip to dreams or Benson's and find out what you want - some places will actually do a half and half mattress where one of you likes it firmer than the other. Just think how unstoppable you would be on 8 hours sleep jwil. Is there anyway oh could finance it and you pay back your half?

Great effort still plugging away at eBay. Now you've finished all the books are you selling them?

Anyway in summary well done on turning it all around when it was all so tough. You're a superstar! Xxxxx

I don't know that there is :( We are regularly all sitting in hats, coats and gloves. It's an awful heating system but we are moving offices soon so hopefully it will improve. I had my trusty wheat bag so that kept me warm!

Aww lovely, thank you :A. You've made me shed a little tear :o

We do need to sort the mattress, you are right. DH probably would fund it, but he's had an expensive month with his car so we'll wait for a bit longer. I can't imagine sinking into a lovely comfy bed again. I think we are both nervous about making the wrong decision again - the mattress we are on now was £600 - it's an expensive mistake to make!

I'm not selling the books on ebay - I sold most of the decent ones a long time ago. The ones I had left are just not worth it, and would be too expensive with postage. I do sell them at the car boot though, but only for 20p each. I bought the vast majority 2nd hand, so I've had my joy from them :)

It's new Stephen King book day today :j He's the only author I do buy new and always on the day of release. I have a big collection of first editions, not that they are worth anything as there are so many printed. I'm about to settle down with it. It's only a short one, so I'll probably finish it tonight :D:D

We did pumpkins with the kids today, they loved it! I’ve roasted up all the seeds for snacking. It’s the first time I’ve done it and they taste quite nice. I don’t particularly like the flesh though so that went in the food bin :o

It's payday today hurrah! :T It's been a long month.

Figures updated. I *really* want to find £50 to get under £21k but I've got to remember I'm playing the long game. I will be strong!

It's another expensive month as I've got to pay for an extra 2 sessions each at nursery and after school club :( Then another in December as well :( Then in January, my nursery bill should reduce and I should see some extra cash :T :T

I really can't wait. It will only be swallowed up by bills, but it will mean it's not such a struggle.
