Such a brilliant update jwil. Well done on being so self aware and realising how successful you've been and how much change you've made! You're a champion.

I cannot believe you haven't had a tree up for 10 years.

And I had no idea about the drying time on that paint so I'm sorry i didn't warn you.

    Totally fantastic update xxxxx

Well done jwil. You’re doing great. I’m sorry you’ve been in a dark place this year, well done for overcoming your obstacles. You have come so far. You should be really proud of yourself :)

Thank you :) We've had a tree, just a very small one, not our nice 6ft one which I love.

It's not a problem about the paint, I knew it would take ages to dry, I wanted something that would last. Already it's easier to clean and move stuff around, it looks so much better. I just need to redo the last section as I forgot where I had painted and stomped all over it leaving footprints :wall: :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you, yes, I like to look back over my diaries

*Sigh* I've had a demand from HMRC to pay back my tax credit overpayment. That's just shy of £300. Happy Christmas to them!

I knew I owed it, I just guess I expected they'd ask for it at the end of the financial year so thought I'd have a bit longer.

I'll add it to my list of debts so at least it will look like I've paid off a nice bit.

  • Can you pay it back in tiny instalments?

  • Not being glib but it’s only money. Compared to what you’ve dealt with so well over the past year, this is doable. Plus you can tell dh you need the money generated from sales and you may get rid of a few more bits and pieces

I don't know, I'm just going to find the money and pay it, I'd rather be shot of it. At least it's coming up Council Tax-free months, so that will cover it.

You're right, it's just annoying. A few years ago it would have been a crisis, now it's an annoyance. That's a good thing :) Will definitely try and get some sales to cover it though :)
