Which supermarket was it Jwil? We bought sprouts, carrots and parsnips for 19p a bag at Mr T yesterday which we were pleased with.

It was Morrisons. I've been stocking up on the cheap veg too. It's handy for after Christmas :)

I did the second coat of floor paint yesterday, so it's looking good again. It's pretty much dry but I'm trying to stay off it as much as possible to let it be as dry as possible.

Today we've been out to get the turkey and some milk and a couple of bits, and back by 9. The kids are making their final cards and I am about to start cleaning the house. DH is at work, and I want it all done by the end of the day. Going to clean the oven, change all the beds and get cleaned and tidied up.

I had an email from whirlpool about the washing machine saying we could have a free replacement or repair. Isn't that just sods law that they announced that recall the DAY AFTER we got rid of the old one and bought a new one   I'm actually not as cross as I should be because the new machine is so much better than the old one, and as whirlpool seem to have had no end of issues with their various appliances I'm happier to be with another brand now.

I'm starting to think about next year now, and set some plans. I'll update when I've thought it through. I'm still frittering too much and so need to think of a new approach. I really want to be on top of my budgets and finances by the time little miss starts school in September and then I can start smashing it all down.

We've got a H0tp0int washing machine but were relieved that it isn't one of the models that catches fire. I would think twice about buying another one of that brand!

Well done on floor painting and turkey buying :).

Thank you, yes, I'll still have childcare but not as much as now!

Ours was one of the models, I'm relieved it's gone.

Well I've done all the beds. Didn't get as much done otherwise as I'd hoped, but did give the kitchen a good clean. The oven is done and I've taken it apart to do all the various bits. It looks fab now! I've also got rid of the various paint splodges that were dotted about the kitchen, and put everything back. It finally feels like it's done now :T :T

Tomorrow I will finish tidying up, do the bathroom and the kids' bedroom. Tonight I'm going to do the last of the wrapping and double check that we've got everything. I need to do a couple of cards for neighbours. I bought some spares but they are missing so I assume they are in with the Christmas stuff :rotfl:

Gosh I'm really achey today, I must have worked hard yesterday :rotfl:

I'm glad I got the hardest jobs done yesterday, I can take it easier today.

Bathroom is cleaned and I've started tidying the kids room. Nearly done with the washing and then that can all be put away too.

I'm trying to get it all done now ahead of Christmas, so that I can sit down and relax Christmas Day and Boxing day, and not have little jobs niggling me. Christmas gives me a deadline to work towards and focus me! It also means that after Christmas, I can start thinking about doing other stuff without thinking I should be cleaning first. I'll have a nice clean house, so I can carry on with the decluttering after :T

I've caught up on surveys and done a comparison for my home insurance. Looks like the existing insurer is still cheapest even though it's gone up by £10!

I've sent off my renewal documents to a survey site which should earn me £7.50 and possibly got some pet food to test coming from another, so that will have been productive :T
