Thanks everyone, the day went as well as expected. We managed to avert a DD2 crisis in the morning and she managed to pull it together as her sister has made her responsible for bear bear.We called at our favourite fish and chip shop on the way up there . We arrived 20 minutes early so had to stay in the car until our designated time slot and the hubbster and her had everything in her room in 40 minutes. Lots of parents floating around not adhering to the one parent only to move stuff in rule. Her room had a fridge in which we thought was odd and thought it was incase they had to isolate. Anyway in turns out DD1 accidently ticked the diabetes box and the fridge was for medication
. She is waiting for them to collect. We were done, dusted, tears wiped away and back on the road in 50 minutes flat.
We had a tearful phone call about 7, then a super happy one at 11pm and another brimming with news and chatter about an hour ago whilst walking back from the city she'd had to go and buy more coat hangers. She's calculated how much money she will have each week for food and liquid refreshments ( depending on what she;s drinking). She is meeting up with house potential friends later today.
So the day continue along the usual path for a wednesday. Have a FB collection later after much faffing from various people. One asked me if I would donate said item to a free children's group she runs. I think if she had given name of group or FB page or something to go on I would of considered it but I feel she is trying to scam me. Anyway another person is collecting later, but if it doesn't go I'll donate it to our local hospice which is where other stuff generally goes.
Right time to fill the washing machine and start DD2 on her next project as I've managed to get some cheap canvas from the charity shop today. Take care everyone

How lovely about DD1! That's a great start
and a very good sussing out of the facebook potential scam - much better to go the hospice route if it doesn't sell, you're dead right.
Hope Thursday goes well too2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Wow where has the time gone. Been super busy over the past few days with a break yesterday because of migraine. Back to normal today. The hubbster has been defurloughed (sounds like he's had to be de-bugged) and went into work today, he's concerned they will use him and spit him out later this week when jobs are confirmed or denied. But hey that's business and he is contracted to work for them and luckily enough he loves his job. Although he has applied for another job. My best friend has worked throughout covid and is in the line of fire, she's devastated as many of her collegues who were furloughed, their jobs are safe. She worked above and beyond for the company (who have posted they are exceeding targets/profits) over the last couple of months. It doesn't seem morally right but many businesses either don't care or I suppose don't have the luxury. RANT over.
ermmm the hubster and DD2 are back best go sort tea. Take care everyone.

Down branding of dog food complete, no adverse effects on Miss Giddychops digestive system. It will save us about £11 every 2 and half months. Also cancelled our fruit box this week. No other MS achieved so far.

Ever so slowly meandering our way towards d day. Just want it over so we can get on with whatever the outcome is. Plans are place, would prefer plan a and not b or c. It’s just a waiting game now.
Been and took my friend’s dogs out this morning hopefully she will be discharged today. Just waiting for DD2 to surface. She definitely did too much yesterday and is paying the price now.Off on 2nd attempt to get her to surface

So many jobs are at risk, aren't they, and if you actually like/love the job you do, thats got to be really difficult
Hope it all goes well.

Absolutely - for your family, and for the country, there's an awful lot of challenging stuff going on.

Gloomy pants back in the draw, may end up taking my stroppy pants out though, been on the phone to mortgage company to try and up our payments for over 40 minutes, dreadful tinney music. So the hubbster job hasn't chewed him up and spat him out, they want to keep him
. Obviously really pleased but feel for those who have not been so lucky in these trying times. Although he's pleased his job is safe, he says the restructuring that need to happen to keep the business viable means he will be in the office more and doing alotn more mangerial work which isn't what he signed up for. But beggars can't be choosers so continue he will. Anyway he's finally come round to my way of thinking and would like to see the mortgage gone so he can either go part time or apply for a more practical based role. This plan won't come to fruition anytime soon but will be a damn sight less than the current mortgage situation. We feel we can up our payments to £300 per month by cutting how much goes into the holiday fund which
someones answered be back soon
